How I wish after the St. Tropez leg, a double Israel leg comes right after. Tel Aviv & Jerusalem  :conf:

Considering I had never even heard of Saint Tropez before today, it'll be interesting to see how this location plays out even if France is overused. Though one thing in favor of France is that all of the locations the race has gone to tend to be pretty varied in comparison to a country like Germany, which has focused mostly on Berlin and Bavaria.

If TAR travels to the Middle East next, two legs in Israel would be awesome though I've personally hoped that the race would visit Jordan.

Can Americans get into Israel without controversy?

A related and perhaps relevant question. Are there still countries likely to be candidates for a TAR visit that won't admit anyone whose passport indicates a visit to Israel?

^^^

There's a few where it would be an issue, but most are probably no go's for the race anyway

Important countries that do admit people with Israeli stamps: U.A.E. and Jordan

If production wanted to be cautious, however, they could always instruct teams to get the stamp on a separate piece of paper

I did that when I went to Israel a few years ago, and it's a pretty common practice for Israeli immigration to do

Well, anyway, the next leg should most likely take place tomorrow. See what kind of sightings come out of it and hopefully they help provide us more insight.

I think they likely started today... but I think they are likely headed somewhere far and spent the day and likely night flying .... I’m thinking maybe headed to Australia or New Zealand

Nah, they TOTALLY are taking an overnight train to Switzerland  }:> :funny:

Totally kidding, but wanted to make some people’s skin crawl

We haven’t seen anything like what you’re prosposing yet, but that would be interesting if it did happen- it would def catch my interest even more

I feel like they could go to Oceania, but later in the race, leg 9 as earliest

Yah my assumption is based on exactly that, them not having made any major leaps yet..

With them going to Europe first for the first time in 13 seasons, got a good feeling about the second half of the route, including that we might get an Oceania country this year. Fingers crossed.

I forget exactly who said, or where in the many threads it was posted: but (I think) one of our veteran detectives speculated about a possible coastal theme

Reykjavik, Antwerp, Tangier, St. Tropez are all at very least port cities, if not outright coastal

That’s a pretty decent pattern, and something to at least keep in the back of our heads

Doesn’t mean to only look at coastal cities (the island theme from a few seasons ago included two legs in Marrakech), but maybe keep a closer eye on those regions

Dalmatian coast and Israeli coast would both be beautiful locations, and due for a visit

France to Oceania won't work! Surely they're heading somewhere closer first. If Oceania is visited, it will have to be in the final legs for this season.

The next leg after France it would could be Cape Town, South Africa in two legs like Saint Tropez and Arles. The first SA leg will could take place outside of the city (mainly Franschhoek, Paarl and Stellenbosch) and the second leg that will could take place only in whole Cape Town.

Do we know if they visited France before or after Morocco?

Though it would maybe be overkill to have 3 "France" legs in a row, I wonder maybe if the next leg is in Réunion? There's a bunch of flights from MRS to ORY to connect to the one flight per day from ORY to Saint-Denis, which is the kind of thing production likes to do.

Unlikely to do 3 legs in one country, imo.

I would rather a double leg in Cape Town than a visit to Australia. Don’t kill me Borukie.

China in TAR14  :funny:
If they really want to follow the coastal city theme we speculate, either cape town or Mauritus will come next probably

I’m fine with Israel or South Africa. I would like to see either.

South Africa is definitely safe and I have to rule out Israel due to travel warning in nearby Palestinian territories (West Bank and Gaza Strip).

Here are some options I think could work for the rest of the race;
Israel
Cape Town
Mumbai
Nepal
Aust or NZ
West Coast Finish

Could be an either Cape Town or Israel or both

Depends where another double leg might be.

This is  just my unsupported spec lol, don't hold me to it. + a lot of wishlist!

West Bank actually isn't too bad in some of the more touristy portions

There are even 3 highways that are deemed safe enough for travel through

They could even do tasks in Jericho, Bethlehem, or at the banks of the Dead Sea if they wanted (best location for Dead Sea swimming is within Palestinian borders)

Can also more efficiently get to Masada via the safe Palestinian roads
