They ran to a final cluebox, I suspect, and are taking taxis to the final mat.....just like in TAR 2.

So the fortune cookie task had to be the classic staple puzzle then if there is no other puzzle

Golden Gate Bridge?  That seems likely.  Damn taxis, I was happy it was a footrace.

Did ANYONE notice in all those photos we've had who was still carrying a backpack?

Even thought the Palace of Fine Arts is further, there are less hills, and man, that would be a fantastic place for the finish.

Anyone think there is one more (memory) task, or just a foot race to the end now?

It was somewhere that came up in speculation. I agree it would be a great backdrop. It's the only building left from the 1915 World's Fair. I don't think it would work well at night. There's too much to be lit up. You would have to take a taxi to get there. Too far from City Hall.

supposedly, Skiers were the only ones reported not carrying their bags; I'm not 100% sure

Looks like the skiers are the only ones WITHOUT backpacks....
I thought Jess got advice from Rachel before the race started??  :groan:

A long footrace would have been way better and allowed lead changes u would think these producers would want some instead of a predictable lead

I lived near there in the Marina.  It always USED to be lit up at night (and gorgeous.)  Isn't it now?

Pretty difficult for a good footrace in the middle of the night in San Francisco though.
Depending on where the Finish Line is, if the taxis get there around the same time, and there's open space between drop off and Finish Line, maybe then.

Again, Palace of Fine Arts would work for that, several ways in around a lake to the main dome.

So Leg looks like...

SFO
-Clue from someone waiting in the Arrivals Lobby

AT&T Park
-Kayak into McCovey Cove and search for three baseballs with the numbers of Willie Mays' career HR total (660)

Golden Gate Fortune Cookie Factory/Chinatown
-Make Fortune Cookies, receive a HUGE fortune cookie with clue inside

-Find where Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe got married:
City Hall/Civic Center Plaza
-Route Marker

Final Task and Finish Line?

A task missing somewhere I assume.

As to a footrace to the finish mat -- that is exactly what happened in TAR 2 when Alex and Chris ran down the lead team to reach the mat first by mere seconds, and the third place team was in sight of the finish mat as well.
It would be ironic if this season has a similar finish after seasons of not getting a real close finish like that which took place in TAR 2.

I defer to your local knowledge. I lived in Oakland and the times I was there, it was during the day. I didn't know it was lit up at night.

There was a trip on a boat and overhead that someone jumped?

Palace of Fine Arts is lit up at night.

With this though...
DEBATERS FIRST AT TRIVIA TASK - HAVE TO PUT ALL FLAGS IN CORRECT ORDER - RIGHT OUTSIDE OF FINAL PITSTOP - ALL TEAMS SHOWN BUT GOAT YOGA :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X
maybe Golden Gate Park or somewhere in the Presidio would have a little more room for a task like this?

Night time.  Room to shoot, run around a lake, several ways in to the dome...it could work.

Yikes, sorry, it's HUGE, I don't know how to shrink it.

There is room there, there are out buildings as well.  An assembly hall/theater type thing, and is the Exploratorium still there?

-Find where Joe DiMaggio and Marilyn Monroe got married:
City Hall/Civic Center Plaza

Hmm.. a first time poster that has the scoop on the final destination and task with an eliminated team reference. Sure... I can believe in that.

Haven't had a good troll in a while. Guess we still haven't.

Golden Gate Park?

I made that suggestion two hours ago. But it would be whatever city parks are on the city side of the bridge. There are two parks, one on each side of the highway.....and TAR 2 used the lesser known and harder to reach park.

They should have made the final Matt at the top of the Golden Gate Bridge and had them climb all the way to the top to win

Don’t know about the final task, but at the final location and they were doing something before running to the mat
Far off, can’t tell too well beyond that
