He mentioned that they were filming the adventure at lodge. So we have to assume that something was up. Also he wasn't allowed to share which lodge! So he must have been part of the local crew there. I tried contacting him but got no response. We can't and should not eliminate a possibility of a leg there.
They arrived late afternoon in Harare. Perhaps there was an Hours of Operation at the lodge, and they did the adventure early the next morning, then finished the leg in town that afternoon.
Also since we know for a fact that zmb city leg had 6 teams, so if a leg happened b4 that, we know for sure it must have been NEL.

We don't though? If the Zimbabwe leg is an NEL we could easily have a situation like

leg 3 in Tangier - 9 to 9 (Basketball last)
leg 4 in St. Tropez - 9 to 8
leg 5 in Arles - 8 to 7
leg 6 in Prague - 7 to 7
leg 7 in Czechia somewhere - 7 to 6
leg 8 in Zimbabwe - 6 to 6

Chances of Leg 6 being NEL is close to slim cuz it was the Double U-Turn Leg. So 6/8 won't be NELs.
Only 7, 9, 10 are the only plausible options out of which two must have been predetermined as NELs.

Has anyone considered they filmed Leg 7 out in rural Zimbabwe on Oct. 15th and filmed Leg 8 in the city yesterday?

Possible, it might also be why we haven't seen the sixth racer yet.

I think it's more likely, but I also believe in this case the Czech Republic itself only hosted one leg. There has to be some breakup between doubling up in a country. Who knows though, that might be an answer we get later on haha.

Thinking about it, I'm SPECULATING that we have a timeline like

- Oct 12 - leg 6 in Prague - someone (probably Violinists) eliminated in seventh place
- Oct 13 - extended pit stop for teams / Phil flies to Zimbabwe
- Oct 14 - teams travel to Zimbabwe
- Oct 15 - leg 7 near Harare - "keep on racing"; teams encounter an hours of operation bunch
- Oct 16 - leg 8 in Harare - someone eliminated in sixth place

Zack speculation was more logical since they need to spend least 1-2 days for cross continent jump and Phil might not have enough buffer to arrive Zimbabwe earlier if the missing leg was second CZ leg.

Expect 1-2 days off happen again very soon for another cross continent jump.

Options from Harare today:
Many flights into Joburg throughout the day
1 to Nairobi at 11:45am

From Joburg:
Sao Paulo, Brazil at 11am (unlikely, but hey?)
Hong Kong, China at 12:30pm and 5:20pm
Doha, Qatar at 1:15pm
Dubai, UAE at 1:40pm
Singapore at 1:45pm
Mahe Island, Maldives at 1:45pm
Istanbul, Turkey at 6:20pm (unlikely)

From Nairobi:
Dubai, UAE at 4:35pm and 6:55pm
Doha, Qatar at 5:35pm and 8:10pm
Istanbul, Turkey at 8:50pm (unlikely)
Mumbai, India at 8:55pm

Doha and Mumbai both have connections to Kathmandu in the morning (19th) that could get teams there around 11am, Dubai has connections that could get them into India to possibly connect there as well.

Another option that stuck out to me was the Maldives- could be a good place for a tropical leg near the end, since the South Pacific seems less and less likely

Both Singapore and Hong Kong could host legs, but also could be perfect transfer points for other SE Asian countries

The Maldives is unstable at the moment, the dictator in charge is kind of unstable.

There are connecting flights via Addis Abba/Dar Es Salaam/Nairobi and Doha/Mumbai to Kathmandu.

There are also flights via Johannesburg and Hong Kong to Taipei.

I mean there's at least one confirmed leg in Harare despite what people were reading about water cannons earlier in the week so, short of active unrest or faulty infrastructure, we can't rule many places out.

A woman in Harare who posted a photo of the filming said she did the paperwork and knew that they were coming months ago. I'm assuming that it's standard practice for production to make arrangements to visit a country months in advance.

Dubai would be an awesome place for them to go and to see on TAR

Y'all help me? Didn't TAR Canada or someone recently do a NEL on a U Turn leg? ???

I really like the keep on racing speculation in leg 7. Id been thinking that myself .

TAR27 did a KOR on a Double U-Turn leg in Zimbabwe.

What I meant was that 2nd/3rd NELs have never occurred with a uturn embedded in the leg. 1st NEL has, TAR27 is an example for that!
