Nice find! If teams are going to arrive at Frankfurt around 8:07pm some possible destinations not in Europe could be:

Cape Town (Lufthansa 576 10:15pm -> 10:00am+1)

Johannesburg (Lufthansa 572 10:05pm -> 8:30am +1)

Addis Ababa (Ethiopian 707 10:05pm -> 5:55am +1)

New Delhi (Air India 120 9:15pm - 8:30am +1)

Singapore (Lufthansa 778 9:55pm -> 4:15pm+1, Singapore Airlines 325 10:00pm -> 4:25pm +1)

However, that's on the main floor of Hall 1 (like right next to one of the airport entrances), could really be for any flight leaving from Hall 1 in that timeframe

Based on their location and the timing, I would almost think that they weren't going for the Frankfurt flight- if they were just arriving at the airport, and the flight hadn't been delayed, they would've missed it

It would be more likely that they would've been on the other side of security and trying to make sure they were at the correct gate had they been going for the Frankfurt flight, just based on timing of video/original flight time

Reading the Flight Status that flight delayed take off until 6:50 and landed slightly overtime.  If the camera's were there the timing is relevant.  I don't think they want the teams lingering at the airport because then we would have possibly more sightings or photos? idk

Just a quick note to everyone at RFF that I’ve had a difficult few months and I hadn’t had any time to help out with a belated deadline now out of the way, health issue under control, and a new schnauzer puppy to raise after Lieb’s unexpected passing in May. (New puppy is Edele, now five months old and happens to be Lieb’s niece.)
Give me a day or two and I will try to catch up with all things RFF and TAR related with the ongoing filming.

I don't see why they would do an actual leg there. They were just in Arles, which has a significant ancient Roman connection, including their own colosseum.

Still. Please, please, please let Rome just be a connection city and not a destination. Otherwise, urgh...

Unfortunately, there are no morning daily flights from Marseille to Rome, only Nice has a morning flights to Rome.

Based off where the cameraman were standing, and the direction they were filming (in relation to the Starbucks in the background), it looks like the team(s) were at a ticket counter- possibly still buying their tickets?

As the race goes on teams empty their bags leg by leg to start to remove unneeded items. By the last leg some teams have no bag. I wouldn't base it off of that

If Shawn Marion was seen where's Cedric Ceballos or the camera crew. It's hard to deduce though if this is a leg until we've seen the other teams. I'd agree with Capt. Carnage, Rome could be a sequester place. We've had Tuscany as a sequester place for the Racers in S.29.
