Bucket List Type Stuff, Tanzania 1

U-Turn drama, lost passport, cool location (Africa pretty much always delivers), a lot of culture (Butterfly!). The episode where the teams really started to battle each other.

Not the finale considering how controversial it could be to the voters

My pick would go to one of the two Vietnam or Tanzania legs.

VietNam 2. Scenery, locations, STAIRS, drama

But also loved Tanzania...

Ninh Binh for me as well!
Tanzania 1 was fantastic though, but I don't know if the voters are looking for something very cultural (which the market roadblock was), or simply gorgeous landscapes (like in Ninh Ninh).

Overall I think this is what it boils down to.

They'll either enjoy the drama (Tanzania 1) or enjoy the emotional ending (Ninh Binh).

I DEFINITELY think it's one of those 2 since we haven't submitted an NEL yet, correct? (although I would DIE if Brooke in Vietnam 1 gets us the Emmy   )

The first Emmy TAR won was for the Swiss NEL in TAR 3 (plus Oman in TAR 9, Tanzania in TAR 20 and probably other episodes idr).

I think Tanz 2 was TAR20's though? (the uturn leg)

I have to say Tanzania 1, which has more rural scenery particularly palm trees and school.

I would say Vietnam 1 because of the fights and the race to 1st but Ninh Binh & Zanzibar are too adequate

Does this mean they DID submit episode 3?  :hoot:  :conf:

The consensus here seems to be it's the right choice

If they want any hope of ending the Emmy drought, don't submit the premiere. Wasn't that great a leg.

There are multiple versions of these...diff eps. One of Joey and Tara...

They did this before...is NOT a sign of what will be submitted.

The Emmy Ballots have been uploaded and it confirms 29.03 - "Bucket List Type Stuff" is the episode submitted.

They can always change it last minute like they did last year from S27 Maccau episode to S28's (very awful) 2nd French leg.

Well, technically they wouldn't be able to do that since that's the episode on the ballot for the specific technical categories. Once it's on the ballot, it's final.

I think last year was the first time they just directed voters online to view several episodes to consider for the series nomination instead of the old one episode on a DVD campaign. Most Emmy campaigns now even encourage voters to watch entire seasons. But I think TAR has chosen several to highlight. Thus the "Emmy moment" pics they use on Twitter. Last year all the "Emmy moment" pics were from the few episodes they specifically put up on a special Emmy FYC website.

But yes, the Macau Leg was definitely a better choice overall.

I kinda wish they submitted the Ninh Binh episode instead, but Tanzania 1 leg was the another great Emmy submission option so no loss here.
TAR25/TAR29: Modern classic season.
