Something I noticed in the first Vietnam leg... Brooke studying for the Final Memory Task?  :spy:

Seems odd though. I'd assume teams to study during their down time like when they are in the plane, instead of making sure they are not lost in a taxi.

As a fan of the show, this memory task seems a little too easy and potentially linear. How hard could it possibly be to solve a math equation and look for a seat if you took good notes? Maybe it's just me, but it just seems that those who have the time advantage are in safe hands. It would be interesting to see that radio conveniently run into problems, though.

A memory task as lame as TAR 16's elimination order make the leg worse actually

Yes but that was TAR16.

Look how TAR27 did it - three seemingly lame memory tasks alone were combined to make an exciting and physical finale.

I'm not sure this will be that easy.  remember placements by locations? Maybe...  ???

Someone has a good evaluation of the task and judging somewhere...

Not to mention the cities are listed alphabetically, rather than chronologically so it prevents someone from simply going leg by leg in order.

Actually I think that is the most difficult part, the cities are not in race order. Also, Tanzania got 2 legs which could also be confusing (not so much for Vietnam as it's more recent in their memory)...

Actually I think this time it may be easier for Team LoLo as they have many 5th place finishes  :funny: :funny: :funny:

Matt & Redmond might have had the easiest time if they were here. Their race was all 1-2-3-4's

Which would only make a difference if you didn't study. Literally all teams would need to do is grab their notebooks, search for the cities, and then do the placements. If they only need to convey this through a radio, it should take less than an hour(assuming the radios work perfectly).

"We're Going to Victory Lane"--In this Active Route Marker, Tara (left) and Joey (right) must travel by train or on foot to three locations where they will collect postcards then deliver them to a beekeeper waiting on the top of the Chicago City Hall in order to receive the next clue on THE AMAZING RACE, Thursday, June 1 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. So THAT's why Brooke & Scott and London & Logan were spotted at a train station but Tara & Joey was not.

They've banned notes in memory tasks before (still? they were explicitly banned in TAR 19's task and I don't remember anyone using them in any future tasks) plus I don't think "team placements in each leg" is something teams would be expecting to recall on short notice. Plus of course add in stress / exhaustion / adrenaline from being one task away from winning and you've got a possibly more difficult task than what appears on paper.

It would have been more appropriate if it was Chicago's mayor since it was at the Chicago City Hall.  :groan:

How funny, we had City Hall as a location all the way back in July right here.

Maybe Wabash Bridge and Buckingham Fountain are two of the postcard pick up points then?

US magazine has an article where Phil talks about the final three and the finale and there's a video at the top of it where the final three talks about winning the big prize!

Peach said racers were heard asking for directions to Buckingham Fountain, City Hall, and Wabash Avenue Bridge. Now I know why London and Brooke & Scott were shown running around downtown, but why were Tara & Joey running across DuSable Bridge during the preview?

Since the race ended 11 months ago, the winners have an idea of how much they'll get after taxes, and may have been given a part of their winnings to spend.
