Back from the break as we replay the falls as Izzy's fall first which means Georgia will stay alive in this. Barb and Nate disappointed that Georgia survives. Izzy is unfortunately out of this game. Avi is super proud of Izzy's ability during this challenge. After 14 days she is the fifth person eliminated from Survivor: New Zealand. Izzy gives everyone a hug as she says her goodbyes to everyone.

Back at Mogoton, The four boys are happy Georgia survived and believe if she survives the next challenge she'll be back in the game. They talk about Avi as Tom looks concerned but reveals he's going with the boys rather than the original Mogoton members and they need to target Shay. Mike and Lee discuss throwing the next two challenges to get rid of Shay and Tom as we finish for tonight.

Next time on Survivor: New Zealand. Shannon makes moves to get Sala on her side and Mogoton look to throw the challenge.

Previously on Survivor: New Zealand! A tribal shakeup gave Tom a new lease on life and put Shay on the out. The switch put Barb and Nate into a new position and Georgia was voted out. The redemption island duel saw Georgia defeat Izzy to send her out of the game.

We start on Redemption Island with Georgia not having a good night as the fire went out over night as she longs to return to the game. We head over to Hermosa and Shannon is hoping that she can survive another day. Shannon believes Sala is the one person she needs to get on her side. Sala believes Shannon and wants to trust her.

At Mogoton the thunderstorm is rolling in and the boys are not impressed with Shay as she spends her time sleeping or on the beach. The plan for Mogoton is to throw the challenge so they can vote Shay out.

Avi says he is feeling close with Shannon as they have a lot in common and really hopes she is ready to join them. Avi notes that he worries Tom will change his alliances as they look to the next immunity challenge.

Over at Mogoton, Tom says he feels he trust Jak the most out of everyone as they bond quickly as night closes on Day 15. Day 16 as Shay finds tree mail. Immunity challenge invite with a puzzle in the hint. Shay knows that she will be going to Redemption Island if they lose which Mike confirms that the plan is to throw in his confessional.

At Hermosa, Shannon has low hopes for Barb as she feels unsafe in her tribe as we make our way over for the challenge.

Matt welcomes the tribes to the game. Teams will scoop water out of the ocean into a bucket, pass it to their team mate who will fill it in a barrell which will lower the key to the puzzle pieces which form a phrase. Once the phrase is complete the tribe wins immunity. Hermosa ahead early as Mogoton throw it early. Hermosa grab their key early. Shannon grabs the key as Mogoton have very little water.

Shannon and Barb struggling with the phrase while Mike and Jak discuss faking looking for the key. The lead from Barb and Shannon is gone as Avi notes it doesn't look like Mike and Jak are not trying. Avi and Sala discuss Mogoton trying to throw it which is becoming more obvious to them as Barb and Shannon win the challenge for Hermosa. Shannon is so happy she survives another round. Matt congratulates Hermosa on their win as he sends the tribes back to camp.

At Hermosa Nate and Sala discuss Mogoton throwing the challenge and decide they won't tell that to Shannon because they don't want to detract her from her good work today. Sala feels sorry for Shay because he knows she'll be on the chopping block.

Mike says Shay would be so angry if she knew they threw the challenge and will keep that from her for the rest of the game as they feel if she knew it would throw her entirely to the other side in case of a merge.

Shay tries to convince the others to try to turn against Mike.  Tom says he'll vote for Shay to keep it from being unanimous against her so he can float for the merge as we head to tribal council.

Matt welcomes Mogoton to tribal council as they talk about new alliances, how the game is played now and the future merge as they go to make their votes. Matt begins to tally the votes

First vote Mike,  Second vote Mike, Third vote Shay, Fourth vote Shay, Fifth vote is Shay and she will be going to Redemption Island.

Next time on Survivor: New Zealand. Everyone is invited to the Redemption Island duel which see speculation of the merge as the duel looks to be tense to possibly decide the merge

NOOOOOOO SHAY :torche

Why is there hardly any reward challenges???

I assume it's their budget since their first "challenge" was literally just running on the beach and looking into a boat

Thanks for the well wishes guys and to Bourkie for doing small recaps. At the end of the last episode over Lee was voted off it was revealed that there will be another immunity challenge right now. The correct merged tribe name is Casar and the buff colour is black.

Previously on Survivor: New Zealand. A balancing act immunity challenge saw Mike win immunity. Swinging vote from Shannon took Lee out and onto Redemption Island but there was a twist in the game. The next immunity challenge right now.

For tonight's challenge there will be a quickfire quiz. Survivors answer a question wrong they are out. Last person standing wins immunity as we go to the next vote straight away. Everyone gets the first question right. Tom falls at the second question. Mike and Nate fall at the third question, Shannon, Shay and Barb out at the fourth. Jak wins immunity as we go into the next vote.

Before the vote gets underway Mike questions Shannon and Avi's strategy as we do the votes. Matt tallys the votes up. First vote Shay, Second vote Shay, Third vote Shay, Fourth vote Mike,  Fifth vote Mike, Sixth vote Mike, Seventh vote Mike, Eighth vote Mike. Mike heads to Redemption Island as Mike leaves he says to vote Shannon out next.

Lee is already on Redemption Island as Mike arrives. Both are in shock as they discuss Shannon flipping.

Back at camp, Shannon says she knew she would be the one to flip and that her decision made sense to get rid of two strong players while the rest of the camp discuss what happened. Sala says that he fully trusts Shannon while Tom realises he is screwed as does Jak while Barb says she will try to save Tom as we go to the morning of Day 21.

Tom still wants to get Shay out but says that her and Sala have the power. The plan is to get Tom and Jak to Redemption Island so that they can get the boys out first. Nate and Shay discuss trying to take Shannon out but they mantain Tom is the bigger threat.

Jak is not happy and wants to go. Barb and Jak talk about what is to come and Barb notes he is subdued. Barb has a plan that depends on the next immunity challenge and making some moves with possibly Tom and Jak.

Tom finds some tree mail as we have a reward challenge immunity. How well do you think you know eachother? Shannon wants food for Reward. Today's challenge is  that they will be asked questions about their tribemates and the challenge is to figure out where the tribe answered. The person who gets a question gets to chop at a person's rope with their named tiles on it. 3 chops to your rope and you are out. Last person standing wins reward which is.... a Pizza Hut pizza (who are the sponsers for this season)! 5 pizza for 4 people. W

First question who does not deserve to still be here? The tribe consensus is Barb. Avi, Sala and Tom get the first question. Avi chops Nate, Tom chops Shay and Sala chops Tom.

Second question. Who would you trust with your life? Avi is the answer. Nate chops Tom, Jak chops Shay, Tom chops Shay and she is out, Sala chops Tom and he is out.

Third question who most needs a wakeup call in life, Jak is the answer and he picks himself. Nate chops Jak, Jak chops Nate, Shannon chops Jak, Sala chops Jak and he is gone.

Fourth question who does the least for their tribe. Jak is the answer again. Shannon chops Sala, Sala chops Shannon, Avi chops Shannon and she is out, Barb chops Sala, Nate chops Sala and he is out.

Fifth question who would you most like to be stranded on an island? Avi is the answer and Barb chops Avi.

Sixth question, Who do you hope to never see after the game, Avi picks himself, Barb picks Jak and Nate picks Tom. Jak is the answer and Barb eliminates Avi from the challenge.

Seventh question, Who would never survive on their own? Barb is the answer as both of the remaining survivors have one chop left.

Eigth question, Who is more likely to stab you in the back. Tribe says Shay as Barb wins the reward challenge. Barb picks Nate, Jak and Sala to eat Pizza with her.

Back at camp Shay is not surprised she was picked for that but says she'd stab you from the front as well as the Pizza arrives. Barb says she picked Sala to keep him on her side but that she has him in her sights.

Day 22 Shannon chops a coconut as she is proud to gain a skill. Sala says he fully trusts Shannon and checks up on her.

Over at Redemption Island, Mike asks Lee if he is nervous for the duel but Lee is more nervous about seeing Shannon. Mike hopes the duel is pretty physical and not to do with balance.

Back at Camp Barb and Shannon discuss taking Sala out because he is a big threat. Barb says that Nate is onboard but he may not actually be. Jak is surprised that Barb says she got Nate to agree. Barb making some big moves.

Shannon speaks with Nate and how big the possible move is of getting Sala out because if Sala or Avi make final three either of them will win.

Tree Mail arrives. Redemption Island duel invite and two members are invited. Jak volunteers to go as does Tom but Sala suggests to draw cards which sends Nate instead of Tom.

Matt welcomes Mike and Lee for their Redemption Island duel. Either of the two boys will be the first member of the Jury to determine the sole survivor. Mike says that he had a speech prepared if Shannon was there.

For today's duel. They will race across a balance beam collecting bags of puzzle pieces fall off and back to the beginning and once they make it across they will assemble a puzzle. First to do so wins the duel. Mike quickly grabs two while Lee only has one.  Lee doesn't have the balance and Mike gets his third to the bench as he begins to assemble the puzzle as Lee quickly catches up. It has to be level as Mike is slightly in front as he then takes it. Mike wins the duel while Lee is eliminated.

Next time on Survivor: New Zealand. Things get weird, Barb makes her bold play but can she succeed?

Tonight's episode begins at Camp for Day 23. Avi feels he has a hit slump and is feeling claustrophobic. Sala tells Shannon that he plans on winning immunity. He says he wants to play this game with honour and would love to win the money for his kids.

Tom and Nate talk about Shay being a big threat and needing to get rid of her as they can't trust her with Avi being a threat as well.

Fishing time on the beach as Avi, Shay and Shannon can't catch anything and Avi notes he is getting frustrated with himself as he has no energy. Jak says he has a miracle idea to catch fish as he asks Sala about making a loin cloth.

Shannon goes to talk to Avi because she wants his opinion on taking out Sala or Tom. Shannon feels her way of playing the game is very risky meanwhile Jak comes back with only the loin cloth on and it is a sight... Avi notes that Jak could be a target because of what may happen if Mike makes it back into the game as we go to break.
