Previously on Survivor: New Zealand! 16 castaways were separated in two tribes with one person from each tribe to be voted out at Tribal council on the first night. At Mogoton Tony took charge of the camp while Hermosa were divided until a target emerged.

Dee was the first voted out while Hannah felt secure heading into Tribal only to be voted out. Everyone thought they were gone but day two's challenge revealed Redemption Island. Hannah and Dee dueled but in the end Dee was the first eliminated from Survivor: New Zealand while Hannah remains on Redemption Island. 15 remain who will be eliminated this time and sent to Redemption Island?

We open to Hannah on Redemption Island talking about her goals to survive. We head over to Mogoton with Sala saying people are feeling regret for their decision. Shay feeling the most guilt for breaching the girl code. Hindsight is the best teacher. Avi and Tom talk about how a possible alliance was broken and new alliances are being formed. They make a pact not to vote for eachother as we head to the intro.

We head over to Hermosa with Mike talking about how there doesn't appear to be many trees with fruit on them and so the scavenging game. Mike and Lee talk about voting out Nate if they lose the upcoming challenge for immunity.

Back at Mogoton Tony and Sala talk about Sala being the new leader and a new alliance called the Tight Four who will not vote for the others. The tight four are Tony, Sala, Shay and Lou. Tony notes that things can change as we all know.

Avi realises that he hasn't talked strategy with any of the four. Shay, Lou and Avi talk trust and how if they lose immunity they will vote Tom. Avi says that he is on that alliance with a pinky swear. He believes that he doesn't want to survive day to day.

Meanwhile at Hermosa, Lee and Georgia talk strategy about voting Nate out and working on the camp. While Nate says he doesn't trust her and not sure why but she has to go.

Over at Mogoton, Tony talks about the survival strategy with the shelter. Tom says he is getting a bit sick of Tony's my way or the high way approach as day 3 closes.

Day 4 Shannon has a immunity challenge mail with the losing tribe going to tribal council as we head to break.

Today's immunity challenge will see the tribes needing to one person being a caller with the other 6 being blindfolded to collect 5 items, lift them up to the caller and their flag to win the challenge and avoid tribal council tonight. Both tribes quickly get their first item. Hermosa get the second item with Lee being the caller and Lou being the caller for Mogoton. Hermosa lifted two items up to their caller while Mogoton only have one. Mogoton get their second item up while Hermosa get their third item and get hoisted up with it being a dead heat.

Some spills due to the obstacles as Hermosa get their fourth item as do Mogoton. Hermosa hoist their fourth up with them grabbing their fifth and Mogoton hoist their fourth. Hermosa have all five items hoisted up. Hermosa run for the flag while Mogoton catch up. Hermosa start to hoist the flag with Mogoton catching up. It's close!  Hermosa wins immunity as Mogoton are very disappointed as we head to break.

Back from the break Hermosa are jovial as they talk about who Mogoton will vote off and they think it will be Izzy from what they think.  Mogoton talk about who caused the loss with some of it being pointed at Tony. They discuss that whoever they vote out will face Hannah on Redemption Island.

The Lou, Sala and Tony at Mogoton discuss who to vote for and they believe Izzy should be the one to go not Tom as they need him for now. Sala says he respects Tony and his judgement. They let Tony think about it before they vote. Avi and Shay talk about how they aren't sure how to vote for with Avi suggesting Tony even though Sala won't like that. Shay says that although she is an alliance she needs to play it the way she needs to play.

Lou says that despite everyone looking at Tony or Tom but she believes they need both for now with Sala not thinking who to vote for. Sala goes to let Tony know that he is on the chopping block. Tony says he trusts Sala and he'll be disappointed if Sala does the vote. He feels he's got a target on his back. Avi says Tony as making threats for coming back from Redemption Island if he is voted out as we head to break before Tribal Council.

We return for tribal council. Mogoton sombrely walk in. Izzy says that they don't want to be here. Tony says the loss today shows how competitive the tribe is with Lou saying that there was a miscommunication with the pulling which she thinks they cost the time. Tony says he'll take the heat but Sala feels guilty as we begin the voting.

Matt returns with the votes. First vote Tony, Second vote Tony, Third vote Avi, Fourth vote Tony, Fifth vote Tom, Sixth vote Tom, Seventh vote Tony. Tony has been voted out of Mogoton and he will be sent to Redemption Island. Matt comments that they have voted out a man integral to their camp setup as we finish tonight's episode.

Next time on Survivor! Barb and Nate look to test the Gen Y Alliance at Hermosa, A fierce game of Cat and Mouse puts the tribes through their paces and Tony confronts his former tribemates.

Tony comments to end that he'll be back with a vengeance as it is revealed Shay voted for him with Lou voting Avi and Sala voting for Tom.

We'll be back on Sunday and to end the week my question is who is your early pick to win?

Previous on Survivor: New Zealand. A tight five alliance emerged at Hermosa with Nate and Barb on the outside looking on but Hermosa managed to win the first immunity challenge. Alliances at Mogoton were put to the test. At Tribal Council, Tony was voted out of Mogoton to take on Hannah at Redemption Island.

Tony talks with Hannah and he believes he knows who flipped and voted him out. Shay says a prayer on the beach with the tribe saying that Tony's time was up. Tom is relived that he survived but knows he needs to step up his game.

Izzy leads Mogoton in some morning yoga on Day 5.  At Hermosa Georgia leads with a tip about brushing teeth but notices the divide in the group. Barb says she's like a lioness waiting for someone to break free of the alliance as we go to break.

We return from the break at Hermosa with Georgia and Mike bonding over weaving. Jak notes he doesn't believe he can break up their friendship or get them to turn on eachother but Nate says that he believes Shannon is not fully emerged in that group and wants to bring her away as they talk strategy about breaking up the alliance and possibly bring Jak to their group. Nate believes Shannon is 50/50 and could be winnable.

At Mogoton, Sala says they are all focused and not focusing on the previous tribal council with the cooking underway with the discussion under way about a reward challenge. Back at Hermosa they talk about who they want to sit out of the next challenge due to the number advantage. Nate and Jak discuss who may have gone at Mogoton with Nate guessing Tom or Avi while Nate questions if he can turn Jak as we go to break.

Back from the break at Hermosa with Jak finding a invite for a reward challenge . Mike thinks that they have this challenge in the bag. Over at Mogoton they discuss what the challenge will be as Sala motivates them.

At the Beach Matt greets the tribes to get the challenge under way. Each of the tribe will be tied together with a 10kg sandbag on each tribe member in a cat and mouse game with the reward of a tarpaulin for the roof of the shelter. Hermosa debate about who should sit out with Nate volunteering. Barb takes a fall as Mogoton catch up but three out from Mogoton with the three guys carrying two bags each. Jak out for Hermosa. Hermosa grab Mogoton and win the reward challenge. Avi says that despite the loss they are strong as they head back to Camp we go to break.

We return from the break at Hermosa camp who are wrapped with their win making 2 for 2 in the challenges as they get to work with their new tarp. Mogoton still have high spirits because it was only a reward challenge according to Shay but Sala feels disappointed in himself and feels he let the team down. Avi feels let down by himself but that they could bounce back. Sala says a good rugby team can have a few losses before finding their rhythm. Sala feels he may be a target now though. Tom feels that Shay is the weakline as he feels her strategy is to look as weak as possible by not doing much.

At Hermosa Nate and Barb talk about Shannon as they want to see if they can swing her. Shannon feels Mike is a big threat because of how many alliances he has and she's playing it 50/50 so she can survive before making a move. Nate believes that Georgia is the ringmaster but they can swing Jak over to them as we go to break.

We are back from the break at Mogoton for Day 6 as Sala on the beach naked trying to dry out and thought no one was around with the tribe watching. Avi talks about a past experience in Ghana as they cook some snails for protein which tastes like a mussell.

Over at Hermosa Mike talks about the alliance and he feels that Barb and Nate are on the outs with no way in. Shannon feels she's in a dangerous position if any of them talk to eachother she will likely be gone. Mike says keeps your friends close and enemies closer. Nate says he doesn't trust Mike at all as they never talked before then as we go to break.

Back from the break at Hermosa as Jak talks to a rock to entertain the tribe a bit. Jak wants the tribe to think he's a joke and an idiot. Barb and Nate talk to Jak about the alliance. Barb asks Jak who he'd vote out as Nate believes he has the wheels turning for both Shannon and Jak. Jak talks to Mike about the encounter. Mike says they need to get rid of Nate when it comes to a merge he'll flip.

At Redemption Island, Tony and Hannah talk about the upcoming duel and their second chance. Tony says he has no distractions with how this is because he is focused on him and no one else now. They get a redemption island invite at Mogoton as only two can witness the duel. They choose to send Sala and Lou as they were both close with Tony. Avi reveals that Tony told him that if he returns he'll be back for blood for the person who flipped on him as the other two leave.

Shannon and Georgia head to Redemption Island for Hermosa. Nate is nervous as Georgia has Shannon alone to talk strategy as we head to the break before redemption island.

Back from the break for the duel at Redemption Island between Tony and Hannah. Matt welcomes Tony and Hannah to the arena. Tony says he has mixed feeling about seeing some of his tribe and that NZers don't tolerate backstabbing. Tony makes it clear that if he survives he will be coming for the members of Mogoton who backstabbed him by siding with Hermosa. Sala and Lou say they didn't vote for him and Lou feels Tony is family.

Hannah says she was very shocked when Tony turned up. For the duel they will have to throw cannonballs to break four tiles by taking turns to throw them. The first to break their tiles will survive another day at Redemption island.

The duel begins with Hannah taking the first shot and misses, Tony's first shot misses as well. Hannah misses then Tony gets his first then Hannah gets her first. Tony misses as does Hannah. Tony gets his second as Hannah misses again. Tony smashes his third and needs one. Hannah misses again and Tony misses then Hannah does as well. Tony smashes his fourth tile as he wins the duel. Hannah will leave the competition but Tony will remain on Redemption Island. Hannah is the second person eliminated after 6 days in the competition. Matt says that what they choose to tell their team is up to them as we end this episode.

Next time on Survivor: New Zealand! Homesickness and hunger set in as the first individual challenge has castaways on their toes.

Previously on Survivor: New Zealand. A hard fought immunity challenge so Mogoton lose immunity. Shay's vote for Lou sent Izzy to Redemption Island. The prospect of the tribes merging is on the horizon but the question is when will that happen?

Tony waits on Redemption Island and welcomes Izzy to it. Neither are happy with Shay as both feel she betrayed them. Tony reckons Shay will be the next one to come to Redemption Island as Mogoton return to camp with only 5 remaining. Tom knows that if they lose another immunity he'll likely be gone as we open for tonight.

At Hermosa, The time is taking it's toll on people. Barb and Nate are divided from the rest of the group as the rest of Hermosa looks to a possible merge and getting rid of one of those two to increase their chances as we go to break.

Back from the break at Hermosa as Shannon says she deals with each day like it's a challenge day. Jak, Lee, Mike, Georgia and Shannon discuss throwing the next immunity challenge so they can vote Nate out. Barb and Nate talk that they may have lost Shannon but not sure. Nate believes that they will be looking at throwing the next immunity challenge so there is one less mouth to feed while Nate and Barb want to win the next immunity challenge until a merger so they can flip.

Tom and Avi discuss how Hermosa run challenges with Barb, Nate and Jak sitting out as possible deadwood as such which Tom and Avi feel they may be able to get those teams to flip. They also discuss winning the next reward challenge as they feel they have more food than Hermosa. A reward challenge invite says who can catch? Sala wants to prove himself at this challenge because they need a win for pride as we head to break.

We return for a reward challenge  One contestant from each tribe will fire a ball from a slingshot with the other tribe members will try to catch them. First tribe to 5 points wins and the winning tribe gets a lot of fishing gear. Georgia and Shannon sitting out for Hermosa. Sala with the first point for Mogoton, Second point to Mogoton by Shay,  Sala takes the third point for Mogoton, Jak with the first point for Hermosa, Sala with his third catch for Mogoton getting them four points, Lee snatches it and takes the second for Hermosa, Sala gets his fourth catch as Mogoton win their first challenge!

Sala very happy with his performance and that they won. Matt sends the teams back to Camp as we go to break.

Hermosa are a bit disappointed that they lost a challenge because of the gear and it may take them down a peg. Mike feels Nate blew the challenge on purpose and Nate feels that Sala was too good for him. Georgia notes that Mogoton have less members and have better means of food with the fishing gear so they may be stronger in the long rung because of the food situation.

Mogoton are jovial to have won a challenge and ready to go fishing. Mogoton notice that Shannon didn't look too well at the challenge today as she appears to have lost weight and note they need to win the next immunity challenge to push home their momentum.

Back from the break Lou looks like she cut her foot the other day but she believes it'll be fine with no infection as it heals. In the morning the Mogoton boys head down to the beach to do some fishing as they get enough fish for each of them but Lou may be going a bit downhill as she isn't hungry and resting a lot.

At Hermosa Mike and Georgia find some dragonfruit which they use to mix in with the rice. They discuss the possible lack of food as Jak not overly keen on the dragonfruit.

At Redemption Island, Izzy and Tony discuss stories about pets and Izzy not overly keen on that but puts up with it. Tony says that if Shay is at the next Redemption Island challenge he'll have a few words for her.

Back over at Mogoton they get the invite for Redemption Island and they need 3 people to go who didn't go last time which means Tom, Avi and Shay. Shay isn't happy about this as we go to break.

We are back for our Redemption Island duel between Tony and Izzy. Avi, Shay and Tom from Mogoton to observe with Barb, Nate and Mike from Hermosa. Tony says that he doesn't have a problem with Avi and Tom but has a problem with Shay because she betrayed him as well as that he feels she is the weak link. Shay doesn't have anything bad to say about those remarks. Izzy says she doesn't have any hard feelings at the moment.

Each person will attached to a long rope with obstacles on the way with three knots to untie. First to finish will live another day on Redemption Island.  Izzy with the lead after the first minute, Izzy is at the second knot with Tony not far behind. Both have got their second knot done but it's not over yet. Both of them are supporting eachother as Izzy works on the third knot but Izzy wins and stays alive which means Tony will be the third person eliminated from Survivor: New Zealand. Tony has compliments for Izzy's ability and wishes everyone the best as he says goodbye. Tony says goodbye but says Shay won't survive with the backstabbing. Matt dismisses the tribes as we go to break.

Back at Hermosa they discuss the Redemption Island and Mike notes he is weary of Shay because of what he heard today but Shannon is happy with Tony going because of a potential merge with Barb and Nate.

Mogoton come back and Lou is not looking good at all. Looking very faint. None of them are comfortable and worried about her. Avi thinks it's the infection in her foot. Lou is shaking violently and going in and out of consciousness as we head to break.
