I expect another leg in China. I think likely possibilties are Xi'an and Guilin. Shanghai could be seen but it's another large city but rural legs have been frequently seen. Beijing could host 2 legs. I hope for Japan.

Seven teams remain means we don't have an NEL until maybe this leg :o

What are the odds for 11 legs again like Season 4?

And there's 3 teams specifically (not naming here :) ) who haven't re-emerged since the starting line. Seems likely they are our 10th-8th :(

At least they have gone to Mainland China this time and not bloody Macau...

Anyway, does China have any connections to Canada?

Not from pictures. Seven Teams confirmation from Peach, is sure from whoever we have on the ground who provided the pictures and confirmed the number of teams still racing.

Not always that easy to grab pictures of everyone.

Maybe. Beijing is considered a Sister City to Ottawa.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_twin_towns_and_sister_cities_in_China

But since they're now in Shanghai, not sure if that makes sense.

BTW, that picture should got o LIVE thread.

There are nonstop flights to both Vancouver and Toronto from Shanghai, so it will be easy for them to access the east coast on the way back to Canada
Down the waterfall, wherever it may take me.

Perhaps the teams could take a train from Beijing to Shanghai:

Train D321 (High Speed D)

Depart Beijing South 2123 (5/4), Arrive Shanghai Railway Station 0913 (5/5).

Here's my spec on that Beijing task:
IMO, it was at Juyong Pass. Temple matches google image search. It is also the closest access to the Wall from Beijing.
Zooming in on Google Maps (no streetview option):

On a whim, I looked up Tock's restaurant in Shanghai. It's a Montreal Deli. And they serve poutine. That just cannot be a coincidence.
Edit: It was begun by alumni from Western University, and I do believe Bickerton also went there.

A poutine-eating task, you think?

That's a Canadian staple that falls in the "how have they not done this as a task yet?" category

That's the most probable, but Montreal smoked meats, pastrami & corned beef are also well known so I wouldn't be surprised if it's a menu task. Maybe even in Chinese.

Update: All 3 Air Canada (Canada-bound) flights today (Sunday May 7) are now en route, and all three are delayed:
AC26 to Vancouver new ETA 11:50 AM PT (2:50 PM ET)
AC18 to Montreal new ETA 7:02 PM ET
AC28 to Toronto new ETA 8:04 PM ET

Based on the flights WindsorSue put in the transportation thread, I'm thinking they are going to Toronto and then make their way to their next destination. I doubt its Montreal.

We've been having nasty weather. There's been flooding in places from S Ontario to the maritimes with all the heavy rain.

Next leg will probably be tomorrow
