I had hoped that it was always a sure thing that season 30 was going to happen and it was just a toss up between one or two seasons a year.

But the lack of a cast what BVM said suggests otherwise.
Like no planning on 30 was done as it is a surprise

That isn't the way it works... :groan:

Final Casting cant be done for a show you are not sure will film. But lots of other things can...

And remember...last filming was a YEAR ago...

0.6 (!!) rating last night, another series low. This is why they had those 2 hour episodes, to get as many in during the tv season as possible. Wednesday was the last day of the official tv season, so the summer season is upon us. Good to know we're already renewed.

On track to be the lowest-rated finale ever the way they've progressively dropped?

There's still the DVR+7

I hate CBS with all my heart. Why not just air it at 8 PM or 9 PM with Big Bang rerun as a lead-in? :res:

For sure. We've been fractional the entire season. I don't see that changing.

No one cares. DVR +7 is where things are today. That's why we got renewed.

http://deadline.com/2017/05/2016-2017-tv-season-ratings-series-rankings-list-1202102340/

We're officially 62nd in the race to get the most viewers.

Hunted BEAT us! :O

Hunted got a big boost with it's premiere happening after the AFC Championship game with a 4.0/13 in the demos and 11.83 million viewers. Also with only 7(?) episodes, it really didn't get averaged out much to the normal ratings when the regular episodes happened. Also Hunted ranked 28th in demos for the ratings season too because of this

Thanks! Seriously though guys.. CBS knows this was not a good timeslot for us. But we performed well in the +7 so it was enough to get us renewed. We have proved we can be a good "filler-in" which makes us very valuable...But does suck for those of us and families who prefer to watch live and like a more family friendly slot.

For now,,,celebrate the renewal! And keep watching/rewatching in the 7 day window! Put it on 10x a day!

Had we been to a better timeslot, it would have been better for the ratings and to the show. But then again, thankful that we still did well despite being late. But I really do think we lost some viewers because of not having a slot in fall season.

DVR out for our Live +7 outings in Vietnam: 0.8 to a 1.4 for Hanoi and 0.7 to a 1.3 for Ninh Binh. Viewer wise, it's from 4.32 million to 6.13 million, and 3.75 to 5.69 million respectively.

And now the worse news: The finale was our lowest rated yet, scoring only a 0.7 with 3.88 million viewers. It's up from last week, and this week we managed to tick up a point from a Life in Pieces lead-in with a 0.6 and up against the NBA Finals. It's a respectable gain, but it is still very very low. Thank goodness we got the renewal.

Yes but live is still very important. Considering how our gains have been consistently 0.6 or 0.7, a higher live rating is ideal.

Have a feeling finale DVR won't be as good. A lot of the anti-Brookes probably won't even bother and just delete.

Nah a lot of these people are in the same demographic of actively avoiding spoilers and bitching when something even related to the smallest posibility of spoilers happens. We'll see!
