We start of with a recap of last week's episode.

Teams flew to Vietnam... Steph and Kristen chose deception as a strategy. They told all 9 teams they don't have the ep

Heat tested teams... with varied results lol. They show Jillian's meltdown.

Joel and Ashley won the leg... Stephane and Antoine eliminated. 8 teams remain.

Intro

Clue:  11:41 am - JA Make your way by bus to Ho Chi Minh City using bus 3

Steph Kristen leave at 11:44 - they need to give the EP by the end of the leg. They want to give the ep to Anne and Tanya or Frankie and Amy as they feel a connection and can beat them in a foot race

11:45 - KK

All three teams on the first bus.

After find a temple.

Jemmett leave at 12:14 pm

Frankie and Amy 12:29 pm

Jemmet is on the second bus by themself.

12:52 - Rita and Yvette. Teams got 1,000,000 Dong for this leg of the race.

First bus arrives at HCMC now teams are looking for a taxi.

KK hates birds lmfao!! they are scared of them yelling at her. LOL

SK arrive at intersection: Who feels like a tool ?

RB:Fix the scooter - use provided tools and using the instructions in Vietnamese and model they must use all the tools to recreate it.

Jemmet is going to do rb, they never showed them releasing the birds.

Emmet is doing the rb and its up his alley.

Steph is wrong on her first try.

She totally forgot the instructions and just found them lol

Joel is done and on first try gets clue.

They probably did some more extra confessionals since even Stephané & Antoine were talking about the duck task but the background was clearly Canada.

Detour: Flip flop or V-Pop

Flip flop: Flare bartending Glow Skybar. Mimic highflying routine mixin the Hello Vietnam drink

V-Pop: Kingdom Karaokee: Teams must phoentic guide to memorize one verse each and sing the song. When the crowd feels like they are good they wil get the next clue.

Joel and Ashley choose flip flop

SK and jemmett arrive at eating.

Emmett eats the bat. Jillian is eating without bitching lmao

Joel and Ashley arrive at the bartending.

This Flip Flop detour looks hard.

SK finish in third. They are sorry for their face. They have to give the Ep to whoever is there.

Frankie and Amy finish the rb in fifth

Anne and Tanya still have not arrived

But they are shown doing the bird task.

KK arrive at the food task and they see it and they say "oh its just bugs, we are Chinese and we eat anything" LOL

They choose Vpop for the detour

Jillian feels sick and wants to throw up lol

The Mentos product placement is there at the vpop detour ....

Joel is struggling with practice.

SK try their first attempt already and mess up instantly.

Frankie is eating the whole thing because amy is a vegetarian.

Twins in fifth finish the bugs.

Amy eats the dessert too lol (and vomits)... wow Both choose Vpop detour.

KK translate the English into Chinese to memorize easily.

Emmett is scared he will mess up. Jillian decides to switch because she knows Emmett is being serious. They are in fourth.

SK mess up their 21st attempt. Jemmett first attempt messed up. JA mis their 19th attempt.

SK on their 25th attempt. And they get it !! They still haven't given the ep.

SK team number 2, they haven't given their EP. Jon asks who they want to give it too, and they say Frankie and Amy and when they arrive, he will call them back.

Twins try their first attempt at the rb.

Jemmett mess up their 30th attempt.

Twins finish in third, they leave the mat singing the detour song lmao.

Frankie and Amy try the detour again. They get it!!! and are in fourth.

Wow. Did anyone else get Deja Vu of Brenchel in TAR24 Kuala Lumpur at the end there? The Big Brother team spending hours mixing drinks at a Skybar, facing off against one other team, and nearly being eliminated for it.

And Kelly & Kate rocking it even more than last week! A team I honestly would have never expected a 1st place from going into this season.

This was an awesome leg! I'm really gutted Anne & Tanya are gone even though I really like all of the teams left too. They pretty much rocked all the tasks but had terrible luck with navigation. Next week looks like it has some interesting tasks too.

Yeah i dont like how they told them which bus to take, back in the old days the teams would have had to find out for themselves where the bus stop and the bus number to take. It's too easy now.

I don't think this is the best leg as I thought Leg 3 > Leg 4

But, it was still a truly great leg! The Detour was absolutely phenomenal and I loved both sides of it <333333 and it provided tons of drama, which is great.

The roadblock was okay, and the eating task was really great and fun to watch!

I wished it wasn't a linear leg with how teams were so far apart from the last leg, because I felt from the start that Ann/Tanya were going to be eliminated, simply because of how far behind they were. I almost would have preferred a HoO/Sign Up sheet rather than the buses to make teams more close together.

Either way it was still a fantastic leg with lots of interesting things, like Jemmett flopping and Kelly and Kate winning, and the impending Steph/Kristen lying drama!

I can't wait for next leg!

Well it wasn't that linear, it's just that Anne & Tanya were so far behind that I was really shocked like you saw everyone at the detour and they flash back to them and the Roadblock. That might have been because they started 30 minutes behind with a combination of the bus schedules, that made it seem like they had almost no chance of catching up to people.

Linear was the wrong word, the leg was definitely competitive and allowed for placement shifts, just Ann/Tanya being so far behind made me less excited about the episode.

Apparently Anne & Tanya weren't even that far behind at the end. In their thread, there was a Toronto Star article in which producer John Brunton said they had little trouble with the tasks on this leg and very nearly survived after being 2 hours behind!

Yeah but still starting off 2 hours behind is not good TV, especially since they only left the Pit Start 30 Minutes behind iirc and it's tragic they fell behind because of buses

When you say 2 hours behind, do you mean 2 hours the first bus or the second to last bus?

The episodes just keep getting better and better. The Roadblock is okay, attention to detail and familiarity with tools is key to finishing it Emmett and Joel smoked that one and surprisingly Anne. Both sides of the Detour were hard. The bartender task was awesome, so much better than the bartending task in Kuala Lumpur in the so-called "All-Stars 2" of U.S version. Language- involved tasks are really fun to watch. The eating part was definitely entertaining, priceless reactions.

Sometimes, a bit linear leg is a good thing to happen because it shows teams that they have to do their best all legs, not just try to not be last each leg.

Hours of Operation is actually what we need a LOT in this day and age of The Amazing Race.

Sometimes watching teams compete right next to each other all the time is way better than seeing teams zillions of miles ahead and a certain number of teams being screwed.

I'm not very sympathetic to Anne and Tanya being on the last bus because if they had just gone to the ferry like they were supposed to in the 3rd leg, they wouldn't of had a 30 minute penalty and would of been on the bus before with Julie and Lowell. And a half hour could of kept them in the race.
