Trying to figure out the possibilities between São Paulo and Zanzibar!

First of all, we know that teams began Leg 3 from Trianon Park in São Paulo on the morning of 14 Jun.

We also have this photo from Zanzibar, posted on the evening of 16 Jun:

The sun is shining at an angle of about 45° from the road, which would make it around 1:25pm in Zanzibar. Since teams can't make it to Zanzibar before 1:25pm on 15 Jun, this means the photo was taken around 1:25pm on 16 Jun.

The following possibilities remain:

Possibility 1 - 2 legs in São Paulo
13 Jun: Leg 2 in São Paulo
14 Jun: Leg 3 in São Paulo, with a short Pit Stop
15 Jun: Hop on a flight at 3:15am via Doha...
16 Jun: ...Nairobi, and Mombasa to Zanzibar, arriving at 11:30am
This is unlikely, because production hardly does short Pit Stops (~12h) anymore. Not counting TBCs, all Pit Stops have been at least 17h in the past two seasons. Also, this means production had teams take a weird long-ass route instead of the simple São Paulo to Johannesburg flight.

Possibility 2 - 2 legs in São Paulo, with a TBC at the end of Leg 3
13 Jun: Leg 2 in São Paulo
14 Jun: Leg 3 in São Paulo, ending with a TBC, hop on a flight at 6:00pm via Johannesburg...
15 Jun: ...to Zanzibar, arriving in the late afternoon. Get stuck on hours of operation.
16 Jun: Leg 4 in Zanzibar.
This is also unlikely (but not impossible), because teams were still racing at 1:25pm. That would make it a really, really long leg!

Possibility 3 - 1 leg in São Paulo, 1 leg in Zanzibar
13 Jun: Leg 2 in São Paulo
14 Jun: Hop on a flight at 6:00pm via Johannesburg...
15 Jun: ...to Zanzibar, arriving in the late afternoon. Get stuck on hours of operation.
16 Jun: Leg 3 in Zanzibar.
For the same reason as Possibility 2, this is unlikely (but not impossible), as it involves a really long Zanzibar leg.

Possibility 4 - 1 leg in São Paulo, 2 legs in Zanzibar
13 Jun: Leg 2 in São Paulo
14 Jun: Hop on a flight at 6:00pm via Johannesburg...
15 Jun: ...to Zanzibar, arriving in the late afternoon. Leg 3 in Zanzibar.
16 Jun: Leg 5 4 in Zanzibar.
This is unlikely (but not impossible) because teams arrive at 5:05pm at the earliest, leaving them little daylight for Leg 4. Sunset is at 6:15pm, and Zanzibar doesn't seem like the place to host a night leg (compare to Agra, Las Vegas, and Hong Kong).

Possibility 5 - 1 leg in São Paulo, 1 leg in Africa, 1 leg in Zanzibar
13 Jun: Leg 2 in São Paulo
14 Jun: Hop on a flight at 6:00pm via Johannesburg...
15 Jun: ...to somewhere in Africa, arriving in the morning or early afternoon. Leg 3 there.
16 Jun: Hop on a flight to Zanzibar. Leg 5 4 in Zanzibar.
After eliminating the other possibilities, this option seems the most likely. Legs on back-to-back calendar days do not cover much distance (e.g. Cartagena I-II, Chamonix I-II, Yerevan-Tbilisi, Bali I-II), so expect Leg 4 to be either Johannesburg or Dar es Salaam.

Share your thoughts! What other options could there be? Did I make any wrong assumptions?

Edited. Thanks BritishTARFan!

Teams could've gone to Dar Es Salaam and taken a boat to Zanzibar like S11.

When you said Leg 4 did you mean leg 3 because it was confusing me.

I think Possibility 4.

As I said in another post, they've fallen into a predictable pattern on every African visit since Season 17 of doubling up on one country and leaving. Africa's air travel network is lacking compared to the rest of the world, and with their budget not being what it used to be, I don't expect them to break habit.

There were NOT two legs in Sao Paulo. We had on the ground teams right with them and know exactly when they started and ended, so we can rule that out.

Flights could get them into Nairobi or DAR by midday on the 15th, giving us more than 24 hrs before Zanzibar.

My hope is our missing leg in Tanzania! Then they could arrive from DAR easily on the 16th.

Thanks Neobie!!

Peach, do you know if the on-the-ground team caught the teams embarking on Leg 3 from Trianon Park on the morning of 14 Jun? That might help us figure out which way they were headed!

So that rules out option 1 & 2 as per Neobie. So I know it might be a stretch, but I think is it possible teams went to a new country in Southern Africa? If, in option 5, teams flew to Johannesburg, they could have easily made a day trip to Lesotho or Swaziland. Thoughts?

Neobie, I'm still not sure if we've eliminated the possibility of a leg elsewhere in Brazil outside of Sao Paulo or Rio before teams went to Africa. As I've pointed out before people are assuming that when the teams were seen heading to the Sao Paulo airport that they were leaving Brazil. You hadn't discussed that possibility in your initial summary but I raise it as a possibility because it hasn't been eliminated based on known facts.

It's very unlikely though! There's not enough time for them to get tickets, fly somewhere, complete a leg, get another set of tickets, and fly back to São Paulo all on the same day (14 Jun) to continue to Africa to arrive in Zanzibar by 1:25pm of 16 Jun.

Did the eyewitnesses in São Paulo see where the teams were going when they left Trianon Park? I see a post by Oliveira but I'm not sure if it's speculation.

4 or 5 seems the most likely possibilities.

As I mentioned over on spec. We know leg 3 started on the morning of 06/14.
Just repeating what I said over there, My reasoning is: 1) there's not enough time to fly out to anywhere in Brazil remote enough (emphasis on remote enough) to get us no sightings between 06/14~15. Even if they took cabs out of the city to somewhere more remote either here or to a neighboring state (and that would have to be like at least an 3 hour and expensive drive out of the city to get somewhere remote enough to get us no sightings), with the time available seems unlikely, considering reason number 2. The time availability issue would even be more dire to consider the possibility of traveling to another city by bus, making the scenario very unlikely.
2) not many flights out to Tanzania / Africa, as the production, Phil and teams would just have to get back to Sao Paulo again anyway, and the lack of flights does make the coordinating Phil arriving before teams harder. We do have to consider Phil's travel arrangements in this.
