Bitching about the TAR29 premiere episode in the "TAR 29 Bitch, Moan & Squeal Thread **SPOILERS** Read Post #1!" thread is off topic?

"Teams of 2 have raced almost a million miles around the world testing their relationships to the limit..."
They're the only team that's said "I Love You" ever on the Race? Or even the last 5 seasons?
My point, which is on topic and which I already posted in my previous comment is that if Bertram and Co. think Dave & Connor are some shining example of The Amazing Race... no, not even that. But an example of "Testing their relationships to the limit" or even just a random team to endear to the audience, then it is very easy to see why TAR has been on a steep decline and is now on the verge of cancellation in the United States.

I don't know why you keep bringing up them being "hired" as "cancer survivors" like they can't be that and a horrible team at the same time undeserving of being featured on the season that can make or break a 16 year old franchise.

Forget the armchair criticisms and TAR hate for awhile.

I was reading Francesca's & Jessie's bios in the contestants thread. The places they wanted to visit the most were Greece and Italy respectively. Too bad they were eliminated even before getting to those legs.

I went into the premiere episode unspoiled--pretty proud of myself considering how long we had to wait!

I know that Phil's live standups have been going on since Season 25, but last episode reminded me why I hate them so much. Phil shouldn't be telling a team mid-leg that they are in the lead!!! And i'd rather see him explain clues than explain that Seth and Olive are in the lead. UGH!

Every time he does a live stand up, it's usually when a team first arrives in a cluebox. So even if he doesn't say it, I think it won't matter.

After reading through each contestant's bio in the Contestants Thread, I'm expecting most of the racers to react excitedly when they get to the leg in Italy. It seems to be a very common country they want to visit.

Also, what I like about this season, despite there being a lot of police or army-related people, is that this season seems to be filled with ordinary people. At least that's how I see it. We don't have extremely famous people this time around.
