Well, Cuba is new, and as of yesterday (Thursday) the US Department of Transportation has restored 120 scheduled flights to Cuba from the US, last permitted over 50 years ago.

And there have been regularly scheduled flights to Cuba from other Latin American countries for quite a while.

Probably a Westward Route this time
I don't think they will go to South America again (given that season 26 - 28 have been there for at least 2 legs each season)
Looking forward to Guam or Australia probably

I'm hoping they go to Costa Rica for leg 2! Or they could go to San Blas! But Panama City, I'm kinda supprised that we have Central America again!

Actually, now that I think of it, it can go anywhere except countries deemed unsafe.

Probably not happening but an idea I had: what if all the countries visited this season were countries with red, white, and blue flags and the memory task is figuring out which flags are for which country. There are countries in south america, europe, asia, and Oceania with this flag colors

I really hope that doesn't happen, because the final memory challenge would be really obvious in foresight.
Look how easy the memory challenge in S28 turned out due to the clues of that challenge being obvious in advance.

I'm thinking that the 1st leg could be a NEL, because they will need to shoot team photos (without letting any team know who was just eliminated), and people who just knew each other would get to know more about each other, which probably means more screentime for everyone.

That's logical, but have we ever had 2 seasons in a row with leg 1 non-eliminations?
I really hope we get a longer premiere though, the starting line must get proper airtime!

I think i've seen that in some TAR Fantasy Games

but i think it will be sooooo obvious; especially if the production give some silly countries' flag inside the clue each leg to be noticed

If they ever do that, they need to go to countries with similar looking flags like the Philippines and Czech Republic or Lithuania and Myanmar or Austria and Latvia or Australia and New Zealand.
But don't print the flags in the clue, just maybe place clue boxes where flags are nearby or something, or not even that.

It's kind of hard for us to know when we barely have any information at all from Panama. Phil is notoriously tight lipped about these things. Maybe we'll know after we see who's around a leg or two down the road.

I guess cast photos must have taken at the starting line. Season 28 cast photo was taken at Mexico because the teams started from different locations.

If it's the second leg there are multiple choices. They could fly to another destination. Or they could stay in Panama, They can go to Bocas del Toro, Boquete, Santa Catalina or San Blas. Or hopefully they travel to Costa Rica, I pray for a leg in Monteverde/Arenal, but they could go to Quepos.
