I could see CBS putting this Wednesdays at 8 in between Survivor seasons. That would still only mean one cycle though. I don't see how we get 2 seasons at this point. Last time we were benched we only got one (12)

when we had s4 and s5 was s4 in winter and s5 was in summer it could happpent that way unleast phil record right after s30 is wrap up

1.0s are also not going to cut it at all on any night other than Friday.

We won't have 1.0s on another night.

TAR is just schedule spackle at this point.  It will either fill in for a quickly cancelled show or be used as a midseason bridge for MacGyver from December-February.

TAR would be easier to plug in a hole than trying to premiere another new show as well.

so let go on strike by not watch this show MacGyver

No! Please watch MacGyver! We need it to succeed so we don't end up back on Friday. We need some other show to go into a death spiral on a better viewing night to show that TAR can still draw a good audience.

Would probably sure TAR 29 will be in mid-season (January-March 2017)? As for TAR 30, it will be air in Summer 2017?

It could be that. It could be that some other show isn't getting an audience and TAR will be on in November.

The season 26 premiere aired on a Wednesday with a good deal more promotion to advertise the gimmick and still didn't draw much of an audience. So unfortunately I think that ship has sailed.

Whether the new MacGyver will suffer ratings after the first few episodes, it could axe and slightly enter the death slot list? It's okay for TAR to skip off from the fall schedule and having focus with my normal activities.

We are absolutely close to getting canceled. Moving to Fridays was the first step entering the final frontier. This is the next step. If they were happy with the ratings it wouldn't be moving.

And I think expecting magically higher ratings on a different night is just extremely wishful thinking. The days of getting higher than a 1.2 or so are behind us.

I wonder why a lot of people don't like the Friday night time slot. ??? I actually prefer that over the Sunday night time slot.

Okay...we are FINE.

Here is what I know:

GOOD NEWS:

29 and 30 on target. :yess:

AND we aren't on Fridays anymore!!  :conf:

And we WILL get a place a bit later this fall. Just like we did for 12.

WE ARE NOT CANCELLED. Deep  breaths..  Group HUG.

:ghug:

I thought only season 29 was signed.

I am surprised CBS is pulling a stunt like this.  The only logic I got is they think 2 comedies won't do well.

100% agree its not suddenly going to magically jump to a higher number  moving nights

unless im missing something the fact its getting a mid season premier suggests only 1 season aka season 29 nothing on 30 so i wouldnt say we are on target for season 30

Because it's the Friday night death slot and the viewership reduced when we moved from Sundays.

Not great news not awful news. I personally have lost interest in both the last seasons which I never thought would happen and haven't watched past midway. Hoping for the best

It sucks that we'll have to wait longer for TAR, but I'd love not seeing it on Fridays anymore. Does anyone know which night it will/would air?

From a scheduling standpoint, there are a few scenarios:

First, one advantage for TAR is that it is an existing series that does not need much introduction.  So if something fails, CBS can plug it into that hole without a huge promotional push needed for another brand new show to replace a failed brand new show.

-Replace a rookie failure
CBS' new fall dramas are "Bull" (Tuesdays 9pm), "Pure Genius" (Thursdays 10pm starting Oct 27), "MacGyver" (Fridays 8pm)
Since "Pure Genius" premieres so late, it'll at least last until January.  "MacGyver" is a big property CBS wants to be a huge hit, but if it starts low and collapses to sub-1.0 ratings, it'll get yanked early.  Even more for "Bull" on Tuesdays, but it's got a cushy NCIS sandwich to prop it up.  They are not going to yank any of the veteran shows early.  And only catastrophic failure of any of the new shows will bring TAR on the air before the end of 2016.

-Midseason Bridge
-TAR could be the bridge between the two seasons of Survivor on Wednesdays at 8pm or any other show really.  Similar to how "Undercover Boss" has been used to fill in holes during the Christmas/New Year's break.  This could possibly mean a shorter Race too, just like TAR12.
However, if TAR were meant to be a bridge for Survivor seasons, CBS would've said so just like how they announced "Undercover Boss" would serve as a bridge between TAR seasons before.

-Late Season Failure
TAR could also be used to fill in if one of the network's new midseason dramas fail or they end existing dramas early with no midseason hiatuses.  That won't be until at least March or April.

-Summer
If TAR films this Summer (2016) as usual, CBS may just keep TAR29 on the shelf and end up burning off the show in the summer of 2017. This is probably the worst case scenario.  And if we've reached this point, then TARUS will officially be dead.

Agree with your statement, Dryedmangoez. TAR 29 will be start filming around this year's summer, TAR 30 will probably be filming in winter 2017 (around January to February).

Undercover Boss could possibly a mid-season around December 2016 to February 2017, then to May to August 2017, just as IMO.

I think I just felt about 247 different sensations!

So ngl I'm a little confused, will there be no fall season?

Or will there be a fall season except much later on?

They obviously need a back-up and TAR is a good one. I mean do you guys really think that none of the rookies will fall? And that's where TAR will come IMO :umn:

So, there is NOT gonna have any TAR this fall?

This is sad but I kinda see this coming. No surprise at all with the low rating and the dead time slot. Viewer's interest has been declined a lot over the recent seasons sure didn't help this show to survive at all.

Hopefully this help pressure WRP to coming up with better designs and stuff or else I think this is gonna be the end of this once-amazing reality.
