The racetrack resembles Al Marmoum (AKA Dubai Camel Racing Club). The tagalong camels, though, look like calves rather than adults; maybe it means something, or maybe it's just a coincidence. Also: a gnome!

Zach & Rachel (?) look really far behind by this point and Brodie & Kurt actually look to be ahead of the camels:

We know Burnie & Ashley fail at least once too:

If this is a detour of camel racing vs camel transporting, it's probably going to be a choice of fast/hard vs slow/easy.

I doubt teams will be able to beat the camels beyond a few attempts, once you're tired out you've got no hope. I reckon we'll see a few switches here if it is indeed a detour.

Could the gnome be taken at a potential task before the Detour?

Or are the gnomes prerequisites (gnome looks attached to the camel, gnome looks attached to the bike) for the Detour?

If the task is indeed a Detour of camel racing vs. camel transporting, I'd probably try to go with the camel transporting, since I never learned how to ride a bicycle -- just a modified tricycle.

Upside down? Yipe! I would have a very hard time doing it as the mere thought of going upside-down scares me half to death! I couldn't do tumbling class when I was 7 because I kept crying whenever I had to tumble because I'd have to go upside-down.
