We won the time period and led in for a CBS sweep of the night despite reruns. Not bad!

As long as we stay with that 1.0 - 1.3, I think we should be fine.

It has been somewhat discouraging to see the lower ratings on Fridays, but there's one thing to keep in mind. CBS knows that ratings in general are lower on Fridays and it's not specific to TAR. What would CBS run on Friday nights at 8 PM that would be doing better than TAR?

Unfortunately, I can't find the source, as it's been a long time, but I've read that in households that earn over $200k The Amazing Race is almost tied with Survivor for ratings, and they're quite good. It might be helpful around the renewal decision.

Also this season seems to have helped with bringing in younger viewers.

Season 27 had 0.6/3 rating in A18-34 and 0.4/3 in T12-17, while Season 28 had 0.7/4 in A18-34 and 0.8/5 in T12-17.
(Source: RJK, Spottedratings)

I will try to ask for data about the ratings in the T12-17 category for the recent episodes to see how many of the younger viewers stayed around.
May the odds be ever in Joey & Meghan's favor <3

1.0. No surprise there, when Last Man Standing (new) is lower, so is TAR (as we have always either matched or beat Last Man Standing).

I went looking for the Live + 7 DVR ratings that CBS uses and found that they are out for the first 3 episodes of TAR 28. Weeks 1 and 2 TAR did not make any of the top 25 lists, so it isn't known how it did, but for week 3, TAR did make the list for greatest percentage gain among viewers 18-49. It finished tied for 24th with several shows, having gone from a 1.1 rating to a 1.8, a gain of 64%. Not bad at all!

Great for the show but that's basically TAR24 Sunday number average live

It goes to show that this show still has a pulse, if it pulled TAR24's average on a DVR spot on a FRIDAY, imagine how much better a good, regular (non-gimmick) season would do if it returns to Sundays, both Live and DVR.

Hey, I saw this on the TAR reddit and it looks like great news for TAR.

http://www.vulture.com/2016/03/2015-2016-tv-season-in-one-depressing-chart.html#

The annoying thing is that TAR's time slot competitor Last Man Standing is also unchanged.

Already renewed!  :conf:

We can chill for now but the numbers still definitely matter

Up one-tenth after the three week break and an increase of 0.21 million viewers. Not too shabby! But then, again, everything else was on reruns so we'll see lol. Highest rated episode of the season not counting the premiere!  :hearts: :hearts: :hearts:

This also hasn't been reported yet, but Leg 5 made it to the Top 25 DVR Broadcast gains as well!

Very nice 0.6 leap for the show.

It's nicely strange that there's no drop in viewership after the 2-week gap.

This is further reasoning why we need to go back to Sundays. :groan:

I don't understand, this season has been great, and I think it's way better than season 27. Maybe Sundays were a better option. :(
