I'm also guessing it's in Bali, since the man in this picture looked like wearing the Balinese men head cloth. Also, the motorcycles filmed are similar with the ones that are used in Indonesia.

Do we know where the picture from TV Guide was taken? I can't help seeing the hot air balloon in the background and wondering if it was a part of that leg or something that just happened to be in the background when the picture was taken.

Judging by the flora and the shadows, I'd spec it was taken at the pyramid complex the same time the group photo was taken: early the next morning. Balloon flights are common.

Could also be on departure day from there... perhaps they had an AM task them That would then maybe count as start of leg 2 . Remember we had a time gap...presumably for production to get some of the (normally done in sequester) rule instructions, videos, photos done.

I saw one for Survivor during the semi-finals (Broncos v Patriots), but I hope TAR will sneak in a commercial during a network pre-game analysis. A 30-second commercial during Super Bowl 50 costs between $5 million and $6 million. I would expect Supergirl or the Big Bang Theory to get the stardom more than TAR.

We MAY be returning to Sundays too since apparently ratings are making Good Wife/CSI Cyber go PLUS Hawaii-Five-O is also allegedly at risk.

UNDERCOVER BOSS on their soft-launch performed much better than CBS's entire Sunday lineup without football.

Fingers crossed this season does well!

Caps no. 12 is not Tanah Lot. It's Blue Lagoon Cliff Jump in Nusa Ceningan island (next to Nusa Lembongan). It's new popular destination in Bali where tourist can jump from cliff from different platforms (max 13 m). But this place has been closed due to safety reason. I don't know why TAR took a risk by bringing the racers here. So this is leg 10 (could be roadblock) and that woman in the caps is Ashley.

SHOCKING! CBS not only showed a TAR commercial DURING the game, it was RIGHT BEFORE the Halftime Show. That's as prime a spot as any.

It's too bad it was just the same boring commercial they've already been airing. 100 million+ watching and that's what they air. The least they could've done was make it a little more creative, slick and exciting. (Survivor's was great.) Not even a pop song to use like previous (including non-Super Bowl) premiere commercials. Oh well, a promo is a promo I guess.

Something I've noticed with this new season's promo clips I've not seen before -- the fanny packs have "The Amazing Race" emblazoned on them. Is this new (and I missed this discovery from an earlier recent season?) or have TPTB finally realized it is fruitless to hide from locals and bystanders the fact that the Racers are there filming the Race?
Haven't seen the fanny packs so prominently visible in promos in a long time, which is what makes me think this is new.
