I doubt anyone would be given such a power before the final 3 is known.

http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2016/02/16/jeff-probst-survivor-q-a-1010-wins/

Seems like Ep1 has a cliffhanger?
Ep 4 has a medevac
Bullying and more

All winner season if right enough good winners.

It's a decent intro but it feels too fast for me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Sorry, but this cast looks boring... and their categorization is kinda, not fitting. Some brawns look more like beauty while some beauty looks more brawny than the brawn group. -_-

iirc, that was a general thought about some members of Cagayan, too.

My guess is there are three main reasons for that.

1) From what I understand, they cast both this season and Worlds Apart before finalizing the theme, which leads to the other two reasons.

2) Some people were probably placed where they were in order to even out the tribes challengewise. If you swapped a few of the ill-fitting contestants out to more appropriate tribes, you'd probably wind up with a very stacked Brawn tribe and crippled Beauty and Brain tribes, depending on how the final rosters would look.

3) Several people fit multiple categories; as just a few examples, Anna could theoretically be on Brains, Nick, Caleb, and potentially even Joe could be on Brawn, Alecia and Liz could both be on Beauty. Conversely, a few (Tai, Alecia if you're not into the Barbie look) don't seem to evenly fit into any of them.

At this point Tai and Alecia are two of the most entertaining people in the cast, and that's ultimately why I don't mind that the theme's execution isn't perfect. If CBS prioritized theme, we wouldn't have them, we'd have two random mactors. Personally I'd much rather be entertained by having ill-fitting people there and have the theme suffer than have the theme work beautifully with a mostly subpar cast. (a la Cook Islands or Redemption Island. *shudder*)

That's just my two cents anyway.

I find this cast amazing.  :stare

And you can't base a castaway's tribe designation just by looking at their appearance.

Precisely, isn't it?

Sorry, I don't understand what you're trying to say... :/

I'm pretty sure I've read some article with Probst saying they base these designations on people's way of live, not just their appearance. It referred to Worlds Apart, but can totally be used when talking about BvsBvsB.

LOL this season is surprisingly good but I have a fear that it will flop post-merge.

Beauty + Alecia + Debbie (and Joe to an extent) are the only people I like and everyone else is either meh or awful lol.

Hopefully Beauty run the game post-merge, if they do this will be a season for the books!

Agree with you 90%, gamer <3<3

The other 10 being that I love the shady & fierce Cydney + UTR goddess Aubry. Neal is kinda ok, too, I guess.

P.S. you don't like Nick, right? :) :):):)

Jeff Probst teases next week's episode:

Hmmm… How bout this? A first at Tribal Council. (And if not a first, it’s definitely been a very rare occurrence and one I actually cannot recall ever happening, which is not to say it hasn’t, it’s just to say my Survivor hard drive is full.)

What do you guys think it might be? o.O

I didn't like Nick, but he was at least tolerable because he was with beauties and he was alright as a lulzy outsider during that phase.

And I'm taking my words away, this season is probably gonna be three great episodes and then an awful remainder  :(

Watch it be a medical evacuation at Tribal. It could also be a deadlock and rocks this early in the game.

But I'm pretty sure Jeff remembers that rocks have been used twice and he would definitely know that a tribal evac is a first

I meant Rocks being that early in the game =P

And he obviously can't tell if it was a Tribal Evac, couldn't he?

I still don't see rocks happening - they could only theorically occur on Gondol and I doubt it with the Joe/Peter rivalry in the preview.
And I was saying that if it was a medical evacuation at Tribal (like you guessed), Jeff would for sure know that it's a Survivor first.

I don't know, this season is not being that bad, except for the OTTNN Brawns in previous episodes.
I absolutely LOVE this season so far  So many amazing characters, good gameplay and I also like everything surrounding the harsh conditions (even though I hated Caleb getting the medevac). I just fear that the merge portion and especially the endgame of this season is going to suck or that we'll have a very unlikable/unworthy F3 - why would CBS not like this season otherwise?

This is so interesting and weird so I want to share it.
So someone on Reddit thought a shot of the legs could distinguish some jury members.
If you identify legs well  :funny: or don't want spoilers don't look

What makes you think the dock has anything to do with jury?/ Couldn't it maybe be a reward or something else?  :hides

I'm pretty sure in the depths of Survivor interviews, the ponderosa clip is the dream team who test challenges walking on the dock. The feet from the ponderosa last season was not the jury either, though it does seem to be a different set of feet? Haha.
