OK, at first, I didn't really mind, but what bugged me was the idea that these racers probably don't even know what the Race is like and have probably only watched one episode.

But after finding out that there are announcement videos for each team (and watching them!), they see pretty prepared and enthusiastic about it! Can't wait.

But I guess a ratings boost is a ratings boost.

Ratings-wise, I'm actually hoping for TAR to go back to Sundays eventually. The CBS Sunday lineup is so depressing ratings-wise, even TAR24 pulled better numbers than their lineup now without football!

Me too! You know I actually thought they've been purposely avoiding teams going into the night because they're so sensitive about time and $ and stuff since we haven't seen the teams racing at night in TAR 27 and Phil went out to eliminate TMZ when it was perfectly bright outside :res:

Whether you like the casting choice or not, the idea of a live stream is pretty exciting! I have a feeling we won't get much out of it, though.

But it's been a while since we had a full night leg on Leg 1 right? On TAR 26, they arrived in Tokyo before sunset, so I won't take that as a full night leg. :)

With all these delays, I might not be able to watch it. :gaah: I still don't know. This might just be like TAR25 when I missed the whole thing and just saw videos posted.

So I've been reading twitter for a while now waiting for the livestream... and if anything is making it obvious that this whole social media experiment is actually working. I keep reading tweets about how they are waiting for a certain team to show up so they can cheer for them or how this is their first time watching the amazing race. Others are making me really sad about this teens who follow those social media stars. How much they are gonna miss the team racing or how much they don't understand why the race has to take a month to film instead of a day O.o

I'm worried about what will happen when the race airs and we see this teams eliminated...
