If they have flown to Santa Barbara as Candi's sighting suggests, we probably won't see much more for the rest of the leg.

Brodie just tweeted I'm Back!

Safe to say race is officially over.

And also should add that Jessica just suddenly "liked" one of my tweets that I sent out before the race started.

Well, since the race is over now, we have time to fill in some blank spaces in the timeline. I am quite sure that teams were starting at their hometowns, there was NO single location starting line as usual.

Since the theme of the next season, I think Phil used video stream to start the race. Teams were starting at their hometowns and used three connection airports to get to Mexico City.

Via Los Angeles - all of these teams started in Los Angeles.
1.) Tyler and Korey
2.) Erin and Joslyn
3.) Zach and Rachel
4.) Scott and Blair
5.) Dana and Matt... they ran under the radar, but I'm sure used LAX

Via Atlanta
6.) Sheri and Cole - I think their first flight was from Dothan, AL
7.) Jessica and Brittany - this is our missing Miami team. They live in Fort Lauderdale and they were forced (?) to fly MIA -> ATL -> MEX because of the geographical advantage they had.

Via Dallas
8.) Burnie and Ashley - they live in Austin
9.) Kurt and Brodie - they live in Dallas
10.) Cameron and Darius - they started in "the Birthplace of Rock 'n Roll" and travelled via Dallas
11.) Marty and Hagan - they live in McKinney, that's close to Dallas. This is where they started their race.

I wonder if producers were planning this since the beginning, or they came up with this idea after they saw team's hometowns.

Tyler has also tweeted that he's back referring to TAR 28 in his tweet. So we can definitely assume they've wrapped up filming.

I'm not as sure that MIA wasn't used as a start point; the flight time from both ATL and MIA would be about the same. IIRC, on the start day, didn't Phil tweet or say in a streaming update that teams were flying from four cities -- LAX, DFW, MIA, and ATL?

The reason Blair and her father started in LA is because the producers are stupid. Blair had to fly to ATL then fly to Kingsport, then fly back to ATL and then come back to LA just to start the race

Since I think the race has ended, is there any possible self-driving leg this time? The only possibility that I can think of is the second French leg (Leg 5). :duno:

Based on sighting, I do think there is no self-driving leg. No more car sponsor so...

Wow, That was an amazing detailed report:

Here's the line by line translation if anyone is interested.

Quote
Met with the teams filming The Amazing Race, there were 3 teams, a couple, a mother and a son, and a pair of friends, all racing for a million dollars, the places they visited included Indonesia, Guangzou and are arriving in Los Angeles today. The race starts the minute they leave the plane, so they need to start sprinting once we land. So not to be hindered by racing with their hand baggage they decided to leave it on the plane. I will help them to hand it to the ground team.

I just want to know how Scott & Blair (who say in their announcement video their from Kingsford, TN) ended up starting in LA

I think it might be because Blair lives in LA and her Dad lives in TN. She has been training in TN with her Dad and I guess either her Dad flew to her or the producers had them do that, or she could have been in LA anyway and her Dad had to meet her. Anyway, she lives in LA.

Got it. Thanks! It is funny they had him meet her out there instead with all the LA teams.

.... I already explained Blair and her father earlier.

Blair was forced to go to ATL and then get on another plane to go to TN to pick up her father. When they made the announcement video it was from Kingsport. Then they had to go back to ATL and back to LA to start the race.

In which leg was 2nd NEL(TBC)? What do you guys think?

Obviously Leg 4 or 5 because Armenia (Leg 6) definitely seemed like an EL because 7 teams were shown on Georgia, which was Leg 7.

Leg 1: NEL
Leg 2: 11th out
Leg 3: 10th out
Leg 4: NEL or 9th out
Leg 5: NEL or 9th out
Leg 6: 8th out

Personally I'm leaning on Leg 4 being an NEL or TBC simply because of the inter-train travel between two countries in the same leg and how TAR19/27 was a TBC on that. (Leg 6 on 27 and Leg 9 on 19).

Just speculating.

Considering how NEL was handled during TAR27, to the point that the only Speed Bump included was just having both members of a team perform the Roadblock, to the point that it was clear that that's a thing where the production were saving costs, wonder how many of these NEL legs will probably be once more KOR legs.

At least checking the dates on the timeline, considering we're unsure about the date Leg 6 was run, between 5 and 6 seems a likely point for KOR leg.

That preview does answer how TAR 28 was started, but can we identify where Phil was?
