We are very lucky, there was a magnitude-5.5 earthquake @ Mexico City today

So the Disaster Curse strikes again?!  Wow! :o :ascared

Well, yeah, except that it wasn't a disaster. Maybe more of a Nuisance Curse event.

Semi-non-relevant question: With that future info spoiled, will that make production cancel a leg there?  :ascared

BTW, with the "social" nature from the cast for S28, it doesn't seem unlikely that Elimination Station might be resurrected for this season, which does also make the location for the ES something worth keeping an eye out for.
Burnie to throw Hagan in the pool  :trampb: if they're there  :'(
ES is in Barcelona I think
my friend will be in barcelona this weekend do we have any leads on where?

I hope Xarles is OK. There are no damages or casualties reported.

Perfectly OK, thank you!

5 yearly moderate (under 6 mag) quakes are a permanent fixture in town. The city is fully prepared for up to an 8 mag. We already have had a couple of 7.6 mag events without any damage or casualties. Thanks to geography and speed of light, most of the time we even get a 1 min advance alarm everywhere including apps in phones.

Actually, to have had a quake like this (no more than 6 mag) on the race could have added a lot of drama and fun for production. But the quake came in last and was eliminated!

Thanks again for your concern and PMs.

I think we lost them but sooner or later, one of the better detectives will come up with something.

They had a long leg yesterday. This could be an extended PitStop. or not :funny:

Just so we are all on the same page:  (Thanks to Slowhatch for the images!)

This cap Nov 22 is a PITSTOP.

This cap from 11-23 is a PITSTART.

There was another leg at high altitude on the 23rd.  (Leg 5)

Assuming they were done by late afternoon, they could have been released anytime this AM or they could have had an extended PitStop today..

What we need to be thinking about now is where might they go and how would they get there?

A leg elsewhere in Europe could involve train travel from Chamonix or nearby.

Flying somewhere else possibly could mean going back to Geneva, as that is the closest airport  to catch International flights.

So ...some things to watch for on Twitter.  :waves:

I think we cannot talk about possible future legs or that leg may be cancelled and replaced.

Chamonix has had 20 cm of snow (about 8 inches) since yesterday. That may have complicated travel out of the town.

I seem to recall most winter seasons that raced during American Thanksgiving had a longer pit stop to celebrate (I know in 26 and All Stars and probably a few others) #thingstothinkabout

There's a possibility they could come by train...

Armenia is a middle-eastern country, isn't it? Train travel in that region would make me a little nervous.

The funny thing is is while it is Eastern European technically its in Asia. Its possible to take a train to Armenia but it would take 3 weeks to go from Geneva to Armenia

Just joined this forum so not sure what's allowed. Can I mention something happening next week? I live in a city where one of our landmarks will be closed next week for filming of an "adventure reality series". Am I allowed to say where and what?

I just remembered bottle is from neighbouring Georgia. This would have been one for you if you were able to get there :)
