Previously on The Amazing Race Canada...

7 teams travelled to Saskatoon where they experienced the rich heritage of First Nations people. Brent & Sean used their EP and won their first leg. Brian wasn't a happy camper as the pressures of the race revealed cracks in his armour. The math challenge caused 2 teams to take a penalty. While Dujean & Leilani dug deep to overcome their penalty to come in 3rd, Neil & Kristin couldn't bounce back and were eliminated from the race.

6 teams remain.

Brent & Sean depart 1st at 12:41 AM. Fly to Kolkata, India. Winners of the previous leg get to pick a team to fly with them in Air Canada International Business Class.

Gino & Jesse - 12:49 AM. "We're in 2nd place and we hate it."

Dujean & Leilani - 3:06 AM. Leilani wants to be in business class. They realized Brent & Sean were in first.

Brian & Cynthia - 3:10 AM. They don't like crowds so they think India might be overwhelming.

Nick & Matt - 3:30 AM. Simi & Ope - 4:43 AM. $250 US for this leg of the race. Simi has always wanted to go to India.

There's a stop over in Vancouver where Brent & Sean will give the business class pass. They're giving it to Dujean & Leilani. Cynthia gives the best enthusiastic "YAY" ever. Brent & Sean said they gave it to them because of the equestrian challenge.

Vancouver via Tokyo to Kolkata. Proceed to Mallick Ghat Flower Market for a blessing and the next clue.. Teams getting in taxis.

Gino/Jesse commenting that there are no lanes. "Put my seatbelt on... Oh they don't have any."

Brent & Sean got dropped off at a good place at the flower market and they're in 1st. Choose 1 of 6 designated flower stalls. Using a needle, thread, and fresh flowers, string together flowers in the correct order to create a garland that matches the display.

All other teams at the market at basically the same time lol. Brent & Sean done the task. Sean: "Do you have a wife? Take care of her." Proceed to Armenian Ferry Ghat. Take a ferry to the destination.

Brian & Cynthia say that their police officer instincts are going off. They're not comfortable. Wrestlers are fine because they're used to crowds. Gino & Jesse say that they have to do this task well because their mother is intense about flowers. Leilani = heavenly flower so she thinks she's going to be great at this challenge. Not approved. Dujean: "This garland (or flower oops) has Leilani's personality. Rugged... (Leilani makes a face ) but beautiful!"

Simi & Ope done in 2nd!!! Nick & Matt done in 3rd. Brent & Sean at the ferry. Gino & Jesse done in 4th. Simi & Ope arrive at the ferry. Wrestlers here too. Brent & Sean: "No Gino and Jesse! No Gino and Jesse!"

Gino & Jesse see the ferry and it's leaving. "We need to get on that."

We're back with Gino & Jesse getting on the ferry as well.

Dujean & Leilani and Brian & Cynthia are still doing flowers. Dujean & Leilani done in 5th and Brian & Cynthia done in last.

First 4 teams getting the next clue. RB: Who wants to meet their idol? Teams have to find a pottery street. Search for a specific shop and guided by a unique photo, examine all the Lakshmi idols to find one that matches their photo.

Gino & Jesse found a guy who would lead them to the idols. Simi & Ope follow. Brent & Sean found pottery but wrong street.

Gino doing the RB. He sees a red line on the base that none of the idols have. AND HE'S DONE THE RB ALREADY?? Make your way by taxi to Swami Vivekananda House/statue. Simi done the RB in 2nd very quickly as well! Simi & Ope get a taxi before the brothers! Simi & Ope #1 for first time on the race lol.

Nick & Matt 3rd at the RB. They're done fairly quickly as well. Their difference was the orange bracelet. Brent not getting it as quickly and clue giver keeps giving him a "no no no."

Wrestlers and brothers get taxis. 2nd ferry arrives.

Simi & Ope get detour clue.

Detour: Tuck or Roll
Tuck: Proceed somewhere. Learn a series of 6 couples yoga poses. Teams will have to perform the sequence for the guru and hold each pose for a certain amount of time.
Roll: Proceed to University Institute Hall. Loading a rickshaw, teams will have to make 2 deliveries to 2 local merchants through narrow alleys and busy streets. Load plastic bottles and deliver to local soda shop. Return to reload with cloth to deliver to a decorating store.

Simi & Ope pick roll.

Last 2 teams caught up to Brent & Sean. "Things aren't all roses and marigolds anymore." Leilani finishes the RB really fast and she's done in 4th. Brian tells the cluegiver that all the idols are the same as the picture he has. Cluegiver keeps saying no.

Brian: "There's a tree behind it..." (in the photo)
Cluegiver: "No."

Gino & Jesse choose roll. Their taxi driver left. Nick & Matt pick roll.

Brian's difference was horizontal lines on the idol. He's done in 5th.

Brent is in last!!! Commercial.

We're back with Brent finding the right idol. His difference was a red line on the seat. They get a taxi. Dujean & Leilani get a taxi. Brian & Cynthia having trouble getting a taxi.

Simi & Ope first to University Institute Hall. They get dropped off on the wrong side of the gate. Wrestlers see Paramount, which is one of their delivery destinations. Wrestlers first to get their rickshaw. Gino & Jesse 2nd to arrive. Simi & Ope there as well. Wrestlers not sure how to load their rickshaw. There's a lot of bottles. Nick & Matt going for their first delivery. Gino & Jesse right behind because it looks like wrestlers know where they're going.

Brent & Sean pick tuck. They got ahead of 2 teams. Dujean & Leilani pick tuck as well.

Simi & Ope going for their 1st delivery. Ope keeps telling Simi, "Gently, gently!" But then a few bags of bottles drop lol.

Brian & Cynthia pick roll.

Exes and Brent & Sean both at yoga. Brent says he's not flexible enough to do any of these lol.

Gino & Jesse right behind Nick & Matt now. Gino & Jesse quickly dropping off their delivery and they're off before Nick & Matt lol. "Gino and Jesse curse strikes again."

Brent & Sean attempting their first pose and it doesn't look like the demo... but they think they got it. Amazing.

Dujean & Leilani attempting a pose where Dujean lifts Leilani with his legs while Leilani is in a supine position. Leilani: "I'm going to vomit on you."

Gino & Jesse loaded their 2nd delivery and they get caught with Nick & Matt's rickshaw heading back. Nick & Matt now going for their 2nd delivery. Gino & Jesse asking for directions but they don't understand the directions.

Brent & Sean are having trouble with 1 pose lol. Sean can't lift Brent up with his legs.

Brian & Cynthia loading their rickshaw. Cynthia says they should tie the bottles with a bag or something. Brian says if bottles fall they can just pick it up... and almost immediately bottles start falling.

Gino & Jesse working on their 2nd delivery but the cloth keeps falling. Nick & Matt find the 2nd delivery place!

Dujean & Leilani going for their 1st attempt. THEY'RE DONE THE DETOUR IN 1ST!!! Make your way to the National Library and search for Jon at the pit stop!!! The last team to check in may be eliminated.

Nick & Matt finished their delivers and they're done the detour in 2nd.

Brent & Sean practicing the last pose where Sean has to have Brent balanced with Sean's legs extended up. Sean can't keep Brent balanced and Brent lands on his neck. Sean asks if Brent is fine. Brent says he's fine but he's just tired. Brent is really emotional. He doesn't want to be eliminated.

We're back with Brent & Sean. Sean gives Brent another headband to put on the back of his head just in case. They try the pose again and ends in failure again.

Simi & Ope crossing a street and doing their 2nd delivery. Gino & Jesse yelling at each other as they're trying to do their 2nd delivery. Simi & Ope are on a blocked street. They're yelling at people to go. Gino & Jesse made the 2nd delivery and they're done the detour in 3rd.

Simi & Ope finished their 2nd delivery and they're done the detour in 4th. They think they're not in last.

Gino & Jesse can't get a taxi... Brian & Cynthia doing their 1st delivery. And they're done it.

Brent & Sean think they have the last pose down and now they're going for an attempt. Brent wants to prove to Sean that he's a good partner. He doesn't want to go out on this note because he feels like he's let Sean down all day. They're going for the last pose... and I guess it's good enough to finish the detour in 5th. Sean technically didn't have his legs extended all the way (or even close tbh) but...

Gino & Jesse still can't get a taxi omg.

Nick & Matt get a 1st subtitle as they're going to the pit stop in a taxi. Dujean & Leilani get a 2nd subtitle. Dujean & Leilani see Nick & Matt in front of them. Dujean & Leilani see Nick & Matt going a different way...

Guaranteed either this week or next is a NEL, otherwise they'll be coming back to Canada with only 4 teams for the last 3 legs.

And we're back with the race to the pit stop. Dujean & Leilani think that Nick & Matt went the quicker way. Both teams shown running to the pit stop...

AND DUJEAN & LEILANI ARRIVE FIRST! They're team #1 and Dujean & Leilani don't believe him. They actually didn't believe him. They won a trip to London, England and 1 year of free gas.

Nick & Matt are team #2. They can't believe it.

Brian & Cynthia doing the 2nd delivery. Brian's carrying the rickshaw and he went really quickly. They're done the detour in last. They know they're in last. They need a taxi. Cynthia is asking a local to help get them a taxi. Brian wants to go elsewhere to get a taxi. They're arguing.

Simi & Ope see Brent & Sean directly ahead of them. Footrace between Simi & Ope and Brent & Sean. Brent & Sean arrive on the mat in 3rd. Simi & Ope is team #4.

Gino & Jesse STILL looking for a taxi... Get a tied for last subtitle. Brian & Cynthia got a taxi. Brian: "Mucho rapido amigo." Gino & Jesse get a taxi. Brian & Cynthia are stuck in crazy traffic. Cynthia says she's the patient one in their relationship and she's not patient. Commercial.

And we're back with Gino & Jesse vs. Brian & Cynthia. Brian & Cynthia finally get moving. Gino & Jesse arrive at the National Library... Brian & Cynthia too. And Gino & Jesse are on the mat in 5th. They hate it when they don't have control.

Brian & Cynthia are the last team to arrive... and they've been eliminated from the race. They thought they were still in the race when they ran onto the mat. Ending with Brian and Cynthia talking about how much they love each other.

Next time on TAR Canada. Fly to Delhi where things get slippery (omg jumping fish) and spicy. A turban challenge has teams wrapped up at the RB. And teams go toe to toe at a wrestling detour. Looks like Gino & Jesse and Nick & matt are both at it.

^^^ Preach!!!!!  I actually think they're my most hated EVER team from TAR Canada.

Brian has got to be one of the greatest racers ever.    They did so well, and could've won 3 Legs! If only they U-Turned Gino & Jesse on Leg 5.

And Simi & Ope finally getting into 1st, even if it was just for one taxi journey. 

This Season is becoming the best Canadian race yet, but there's still 4 Legs to potentially screw it up, and bring it crashing down.

India always brings the worst of the teams, and this leg proves that once again.

Every single teams is not on their finest hour, and this is great as we can see another side of team. Even the coolest (and the most boring) team, screams at each other.

After finally watching the episode, it was great, but it didn't really pick up till the second half. All the tasks before the Detour were stupidly easy and linear, but from the Detour to the Pit Stop, it was amazingly manic and fun, which is definitely needed in an Indian leg. Ouch @ Brent at the Detour though!

So sad for Brian & Cynthia eliminated though ;_; They were my faves left!
And as India proves even further, Gino & Jesse are only tolerable the minute they screw up and meltdown.

Hoping for another good leg next week!

I've been rather busy the last few weeks, and never got round to doing it.   

It's funny, even though Nick & Matt are doing the best overall, I can't help but think Gino & Jesse are the most dominating team this Season.  Even when they do badly, I still see them as dominant.
