Analysis of Kass McQuillen (original Bayon Tribe).
Following Episode 1 (posted in the wrong place last week): Kass, unlike Shirin, will use her intellect to build relationships rather than alienate people. She certainly appeared to be aware of perceptions of her but not worried about torment that they could cause her. I am sure if she reached a final vote, she would garner greater favor from Survivor veterans than from her first-time opponents, who might have taken her bluntness and last-minute changes too personally. My only concern for her is if she can avoid getting caught in a lie. I think that she is smart enough to avoid that.
Following Episode 2: In a confessional, Kass indicated that she likes the cast from this season much more than the one on her original appearance on Survivor. So she feels less likely to give off the kind of harsh reactions that got her into trouble the first time. This gives me a belief that she will be able to better plot and strategize with people in an up-front way (rather than in the backstabbing way she demonstrated her first time out). Coming into the season, I viewed Kass' game-play as similar to Ciera's but her personality as far less likeable. If she can improve the perceptions others had of her entering the game, she could advance further than I would have initially expected.
