Hi everybody!

I don't know if some of you know "Total Drama Island" cartoons. The first seasons were kinda like Survivor, but now, they made a spin-off based on The Amazing Race!

It doesn't aired yet, but someone filtered the first episode, I saw it, and I think it's funny.

There are 18 teams (4 of those contestants (Noah, Owen, Leonardo & Geoff) were from previows Total Drama season)

The host is: Don.

Teams:
- Devin & Carrie. Best friends
- Stephanie & Ryan. Dating.
- Brody & Geoff. Lifelong friends & Surfers.
- Tammy & Leonard. Larpers.
- Emma & Kitty. Sisters.
- Kelly & Taylor. Mom & Daughter.
- Crimson & Ennui. Goths.
- Laurie & Miles. Vegans.
- Mary & Ellody. Geniuses.
- Rock & Spud. Rockers.
- Junior & Dwayne. Father & Son.
- Jen & Tom. Fashion Bloggers.
- Jay & Mickey. Adversity Brothers.
- Chet & Lorenzo. Stepbrothers.
- Jacques & Josee. Ice Dancers.
- Gerry & Pete. Tennis Rivals.
- Sanders & Macarthur. Police Cadets.
- Noah & Owen. Reality TV Pros.

The first episode is the Starting Line (where Don presents the teams) and there is an "Either Or" (Detour) at Toronto to make their way to the Airport to go to their first destination. These are Canadian Cartoons, so the SL is in Canada.
They will go to places like Zimbabue, France, the Arctic Circle, UAE, Iceland, Morocco, China and India. It will have 26 episodes, so I think they will visit a lot of countries (but maybe they spend more than one episode on each country... idk)

Well, maybe this isn't so interesting, but if someone wants to see the contestants, or something more, comment, and I can put team pics. Some of them they look like real TAR teams! xDD
Tbh, I always enjoyed Total Drama Island, and I know I will enjoy The Ridonculous Race.

I love TD and I can't wait for TDTRR. Glad we get Noah, Geoff (but without Bridget

) and Owan back. Didn't care much for Leonardo in TD6:PI.

As to where we move this thread, we could move it to the "other reality" section

me too! The teams were simply ridonculous! In a way they reminded me of the TAR AUS 1 and 2 casting.

Let's compare the teams to a teams from real TAR. Here's what I got.
- Stephanie & Ryan. Dating. - Sally & Tyson (TAR AU-NZ)
- Brody & Geoff. Lifelong friends & Surfers. - Any surfer bro team, let's go Micky & Pete(TARCan 2) because Total Drama is Canadian and they are Canadian

Am I the only one who really didn't enjoy it?

I watched the Survivor one (Total Drama Season 1) but I just gave up after the second one.

This one was pretty good but overall... meh.

Well my faves are TDI and TDWT and I can't blame you for disliking TDA (it's wasn't the best season).

From the first episode, TRR is up there with TDI and TDWT

TDWT was good because of cast and songs.
Also TDI <3

Island with new cast was mess and boring expect twins in one of seasons.

Total Drama Island and World Tour are probably my favorite seasons... Sadly both times they have introduced a new cast the season has been dissapointing. Finger crossed for this season to be great.

So I've watched the first 6 episodes and I'm loving it, but I have a random question about something that's been bugging me.

I never heard, or seen any of the previous Seasons of Total Drama prior to this, so I'm solely basing this off what I've seen on The Ridonculous Race. Question is, who's the shows Target Audience supposed to be? I know it's an animated series, but is it meant to be aimed at kids? Or a more mature demographic?

I just can't see kids being that overly interested in it.

I believe the target audience is 12-17.

I like pretty much all the teams. I'm not too keen on the Reality TV Stars though?
