About Susan and Sharnjit

Susan and Sharn first met more than 16 years ago when they were both hired by Federal Corrections Canada in their early twenties. At the beginning of their careers, their relationship was more of a forced friendship as they weren’t very fond of one another. However, working with incarcerated male prisoners in a male-dominated profession helped them realize they could rely on each other. From then on their friendship grew, and they have continued to move to different positions together. Susan and Sharn now work in a women’s facility as correctional officers.

Susan and Sharn have shared everything together from births, birthdays, anniversaries, and hard times. They consider each other their rocks, and help one another stay grounded and focused in every situation. Being moms is one of their greatest accomplishments and has taught them a thing or two about multitasking and discipline.

Susan and Sharn love to go kayaking and hiking in the summer months, and enjoy watching reality TV together. They’re an easy going duo, with a feisty sense of humour, and are confident in their ability to finish the race.
Susan and Sharn joined the women’s emergency response team and are often first on the scene to many crisis situations. This will be beneficial during the race as they are experts at dealing with stress in a fast and efficient manner. They want to represent strong women and set the pace for all the other teams.

As for their good luck charms for winning THE AMAZING RACE CANADA – “Each other – cheesy we know,” says Sharn.

Both Susan and Sharn would love to win the prize money so they can set up their children’s futures. They would also both love to visit India to volunteer and give back to less fortunate children there. Susan’s parents were both born in India and being able to contribute to that community holds strong significance to her.

BTW, if someone is wondering why Sharn's bio isn't in the opening post, put the blame on CTV:

I'll update the info as soon as they correct this mistake.
