A little weather alert. I'm watching CNN right now which gives US viewers the international feed overnight, and there are five tropical cyclones in the western and central Pacific, including one that is about to go ashore in southeastern China, and a second that may be in the vicinity of Shanghai within five days, and that one is huge is size. (The cloud mass is about the size of Alaska.)

We should anticipate possible changes in legs and routing, as the easternmost one of the five just formed 1000 miles east-southeast of Hawaii this evening my time.

India was just a comment, not a spoiler.  :escape

:funny: I knew something was fishy. ;)
I'm glad India's getting a visit after quite some time. :conf:

If this seasons is trying to recreate some of the classic tar routes (Zambia, France, Rio), then maybe they will visit the Taj Mahal again! The city of Agra is in Uttar Pradesh, which Peach confirmed  :cheer:  Be on the lookout for Taj Mahal!

The Taj Mahal was my first thought when I heard about Uttar Pradesh. I think it's a strong possibility. I took a look at the official website for the Taj Mahal. It didn't point to any unusual closings, but it did say the Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays. Doing one leg tomorrow or Thursday somewhere nearby like Delhi and a leg involving the Taj Mahal Friday sounds possible. However, they may not wait that long and just deal with tourists.

I know India is very overused but I'm glad we're getting a leg here. :cheer: Maybe 2 at least?

At the time anyway. :funny:

I loved India...and love seeing it again, and seeing how our teams respond to the difficulties of  . It remains one of my fave places in the world, but it is a cultural shock!

So let's recap.
Leg 1: Brazil
Leg 2: Argentina
Leg 3: Argentina
Leg 4: Zambia
Leg 5: Zimbabwe
Leg 6: France
Leg 7: Netherlands
Leg 8: Poland
Leg 9: India
My best guess is that India will be a double leg. I thought Australia would be visited again, but that would be 6 continents raced upon. I also believe China will be host of Leg 11 and Seattle will be the Finish Line.

It seems like Justin & Diana are safe through Poland. :conf:

Meanwhile, was Germany just a connection for flights, or was a leg held there? ???

As for now, everything indicates Germany (Frankfurt or Munich) is just a connecting point to Asia.

INDIA!  :trampb: :trampb:

For me it's more like:

INDIA!   (:;)  (:;)

It has the second most Pit Stops (15), it's an overused country =/ If the following country is China (which holds the record, 18) then in my eyes they really dropped the ball on the tail end of this route.
I actually agree with you.
For me, this route has ups and downs - just looking at the countries & cities, not knowing the tasks. Like, for me personally Brazil, France and Netherlands are kinda meh. Argentina, Zambia, Zimbabwe and Poland are all pretty great. India is in the middle for me - I like the culture shock teams experience there and it's always very chaotic. But we have seen India many times before (even though the last time was S20) and if they go to China afterwards before returning to the US, I'm afraid for me that would be the breaking point for this route that would turn it from an 8/10 into a 7/10, while visiting a new country or Vietnam/Cambodia/Oman/Korea/Taiwan/Azer/Kazach/Mongolia/Kuwait would boost it to a 9/10.

Looking at how the route is so far, I expect China to be visited, but I hope TAR will surprise us.
I doubt Australia & Oceania will be visited this season because Phil didn't say so from his list of continents.

5 seasons without Oceania???

I predict that they save Oceania for TAR28 start, then.

I believe you will end up being correct. Think about it. Australia isn't getting visited this season, there isn't a thing called 3 leg races in 1 country, and Malaysia/Indonesia are highly unlikely to fly from to get to the U.S. What does this leave? China...  (:;)   :'(

Well, I'm hoping for the unlikely flashback to old seasons when they would first go to Canada or somewhere else near the US on leg 12 before travelling to the US :funny:

Tarrrrr probably just means a West Coast (read: LA! of course lol) start with the first leg(s) in Oceania on a westward route.

From the sighting at Krakow airport on its way to Frankfurt, I may asume that Denise and James, Cindy and Rick and for sure Justin and Diana are safe past Poland. And they should be -somehow- well asleep (for the moment) at its next destination, probably in India. Hopefully other teams were either not sighted or chose a diffrent connection airport, most likely Munich.
