My wishlist for this year, the year of Heroes:

Starting Line: Harbourfront Walkway, Nanaimo, BC
First quick task then ferry to Vancouver

Leg 1: Yellowknife, NWT and around (10 teams, non-elimination)
Leg 2: Edmonton, AB (10 to 9)
Leg 3: Tokyo, Japan (9 to 8 )
Leg 4: Kyoto, Japan ( Non-elimination)
Leg 5: Thunder Bay, On (8 to 7)
Leg 6: Chambly & the Richelieu valley, QC (7 to 6)
Leg 7: Amsterdam, Netherlands (6 to 5)
Leg 8: Brussels, Belgium (non-elimination)
Leg 9: Charlottetown and other cities of PEI (5 to 4)
Leg 10: Fredericton, NB (4 to 3)
Leg 11: Finish line in Winnipeg, MB

That would give us 1 extra international leg (4 legs, and 3 countries) and mostly new cities (Edmonton, Charlottetown, Winnipeg and Yellowknife being visited, but it's been a while and they don't do 100% new cities)
New destination: Nanaimo, Thunder Bay, Chambly, Fredericton)

The first leg could be replace by any nice northern destination. And the Quebec leg can be replace by Saguenay or Sherbrooke

AND A ROUTE WITHOUT ONE FULL BC LEG!!! never been seen  :cmaslol

What do yall think?

The thing with wishlists is it's also a bit of speculation - you can't help it, and to do so I would first take note this is the season of "heroes." Where would they go to accentuate that theme? In my mind, if they were ever going to go to the U.K. the Netherlands, Belgium or Italy, this would be the time. I figure they would reference heroes of World Wars I and/or II. Here's my wishlist:

Leg 1: Vancouver Island startline. Banff, Alberta for the leg.
Leg 2: Dawson City, Yukon
Leg 3: Japan*
Leg 4: Australia*
Leg 5: Québec interior: Chicoutimi; Trois Rivières; or Sherbrooke.
Leg 6: Either Peggy's Cove, N.S. or P.E.I.
Leg 7: Anywhere in the U.K.
Leg 8: Amsterdam
Leg 9: Fredericton, N.B.
Leg 10: Southwest Ontario: Kitchener-Waterloo; London; or Windsor. Alternate locations could be Peterborough or Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Leg 11: Winnipeg, Manitoba

*total wishlist and probably unrealistic!!!

I have further developed my wishlist!!! I think we keep sinorama sponsor, so we have another asia visit, and 2 african legs in morocco for INTL!

Leg-1 Victoria, British Columbia to Banff, Alberta

Leg-2 Banff, Alberta to Yellowknife, Northwest Territories

Leg-3 Yellowknife, Northwest Territories to Tokyo, Japan

Leg-4 Tokyo, Japan to Niagara Falls, Ontario

Leg-5 Niagara Falls, Ontario to Gaspe, Quebec

Leg-6 Gaspe, Quebec to Sherbrooke/Chambly, Quebec

Leg-7 Sherbrooke/Chambly, Quebec to Casablanca, Morocco

Leg-8 Casablanca, Morocco to El Jadida, Morocco

Leg-9 El Jadida, Morocco to Fredericton, New Brunswick

Leg-10 Fredeircton, New Brunswick to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

Leg-11 Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island to Winnipeg/Churchill, Manitoba

What if, instead of 150 tasks, there's hero tasks?? Like mapping out Terry Fox's marathon, or searching through blocks of ice for ones with pennies, or even a David Suzuki task??? haha

What about going to NYC and doing task reconzing the heros of 9/11?

Sadly, for several reasons, I can't see them having a stop in the U.S.
If they wanted to honour Canadian heroes of 9/11, the first place I think of isn't in the U.S. at all. It's Gander, Newfoundland who took in thousands of U.S. travelers when planes were diverted from U.S.

Very good point!
I think it's a good idea to look at 'heroic' destination, but I feel like these locations will be base on the occupation of the teams selected.
What I mean is if they got several auditions of firefighter teams, and they know they will probably pick one, then they may have a challenge or location base on firefighters (the best exemple would have been last year's Fort Mcmurray leg). Maybe another task related to the Mountain Police, famous doctor related task, etc.

As for teams, I feel like we will have:

- Army related team (Air force, or marine force, or whatever)
- Law enforcement
- Teachers
- Medical team (doctor, nurses)
- LOTS of inspirational for the community teams (strong members of minority communities, ala LGBT, racial minorities religious minorities)
- Strong stay at home mom's or single parents

100% agree.
Add to your list a "sports" team. And you know what's starting next month - wink, wink. hahaha.

Good point! It's been 4 years we had Olympians! I guess right after the olympics is the only time they can do this. Also I would keep an eyes for family member of Olympians (like a mother or father with their athlete son/daughter, that would fit with the hero theme)

My only wish is they have the Starting Line and first Leg in the same metro area. Or at the very least, the same province with no need for an unnecessary plane ride.

Why?  :funny:

I like this little tradition of not having the starting line and the first leg in the same province. I do agree they could use that to create a bit of difference between the teams, like not having them all on the same flight, or juste 2 flights landing close. The best would be like 3 flights landing 1h appart, but it's a bit unrealistic.

That's actually always been one of my least favorite aspects of some of the international versions

The show is about travel, and to have a full leg in the place you start essentially takes that opportunity away from one of the teams- unless you make leg 1 an NEL.

I say that the first leg should always have some sort of flight/long distance travel aspect to it.

I don't know if this is the right place to post, but here goes:

Interesting things I notice recently:

Every single British Columbia leg has a been a elimination leg
Every Quebec leg (excluding the two finale) has been a non-elimination leg (S1 quebec city leg, S2 Montreal leg, S3 Madeleine Island leg, s5 Ottawa-Gatineau leg)

As seen on my post shown above posted in January, TAR Canada 6 might have a NEL leg somewhere in British Columbia and an elimination leg in Quebec. Most seasons of TAR did circumnavigate the globe. TAR Canada may be going to circumnavigate the globe race from Canada to Asia, to Europe and back to Canada in three continents.

I think I saw this posted somewhere on here over the ages, but how about a race that completely spans the Trans-Canada highway? Starting Line in Victoria, finish line in St. John’s? And the whole race could just be a roadtrip! I admit it’s improbable at best, but still a cool idea I think :)
