In short: It's believed we're on Leg 7 now, and Leg 6 was a KOR because it took place just yesterday. There were 7 in Leg 5, so if this is the case, there'd be 6 now.

Not sure on the number of legs, but I predict another international jump possibly next leg.

So Air Canada dropped out as sponsor, they should get Air Transat or Westjet for next seasons. That somehow explains partly why there are only 10 teams (one my hunches, apart from making sure an F/F or M/F wins).

That is what I was puzzled about as well.

That's not the reason. If you've ever read the comments on the Facebook, this is the way the casuals like it (well, some of them would rather no international at all. I gave up trying to argue with them after season 2, lol). But it shows in the ratings, an average Canadian episode sees almost twice the viewership of a US episode on CTV (#1 week after week).

I try to stay off the FB page, otherwise my head explodes. There are still some brave individuals who try to explain the "Amazing" part of the program to those all-Canada FB posters, but I gave up after the comments about Normandy & Juno Beach in Season 2. I couldn't believe it. The problem I see is, we are going to run out of leg locales in Canada that are truly show-worthy after about another two seasons.

I would argue that we ARE already running out.

A lot of the legs on TARCAN3 were straight out atrocious.

Sudbury, Saskatoon and the Edmonton waste-management plant were terrible, yes. It wasn't that they were bad places to go, it's what they did there. Could have been handled much better, and I think production really dropped the ball.
But I have high hopes for this year, the only problematic spots I've seen are Hamilton and maybe Calgary (we don't know a lot about Calgary)
There are still some fantastic places to go in Canada, make no mistake. And I still think Vancouver needs a better leg than the one we got in S1. In fact, I can see it being the finale next year, especially with the alternating east/west pattern they seem to do.

I am getting really antsy about the team reveals. There should be a press release today about the announcements next week. Should be. If nothing, then I am watching etalk tonight, because they may so a lead-in for next week's programming.

I actually liked the Saskatoon leg though
The Detour was fun!

If anything the Premiere (Bike-Read a paper-Obstacle Course-Pit Stop?) was horrible. Halifax was also terribly boring at the Detour and the Roadblock, with the museum phone task being the only good task.

BC also sucked. Wakeboarding was eh and the Detour being both physical tasks were cringeworthy as well as the mini-Jon task.

I just hope this year is better... and please change the U-Turn rule! No more teams using it twice please?

A little more than 2 weeks to go until the premiere and not a peep from the show or CTV about anything. How strange.

Indeed, the only official release we have is from Bell Media about the change in sponsors and the grand prize, nobody connected to the show is talking on social media. If the bios are not out next week, then the teams will have little time to do their rounds with the media before the season starts.

Looks like TAR Canada nailed it with the cast, a pair of single moms, a racer who has sight impairment, an African-Canadian twins team, a stepfather-stepdaughter team, an interracial best friends team and a lesbians team. Very diverse.

This is a fantastic cast so far! Better than last year, IMO, there's really no bulky "dude bros" male teams to dominate the race 

And unfortunately, the main site appears to confirm only 10 teams this year At the bottom of http://theamazingracecanada.ctv.ca/ is a navigation banner of the teams. 7 are revealed, and only 3 silhouettes remain (pretty obvious which one is Jemmett, heh)

Nothing on whether it's 11 or 12 legs, though.

Each team is relatable to different groups of  people from all walks of life.

I have to admit, I've been so pessimistic about this season but the cast looks phenomenal and the Asian F/F + Jillian & Emmett + Red haired FF aren't even revealed yet <3

Here's hoping the tasks aren't dumb like TARCAN3!

What an amazing cast! Each teams seems unique compared to the overload of couples we get each season in TARUS. Extremely refreshing!
I don't have any favorites yet because I like them all! (Which only happened before in C2 and Aus2)
