Eh, why not, it will be fun, right?
Leg 1: Season 10. 12 teams in the most diverse cast ever, a wild and unpredictable ride. I still remember the sense of uncertainty after Phil said that in this Race there would be surprises the teams would never expect. He was right!
Honorable mention: Season 12: So much was packed into just one hour, but this leg was wonderfully unpredictable and filled with true Race karma that sent the obvious villain team home first. I don't think there's any other season where the villain team got the first boot, and it was quite the surprise!
Leg 2: Season 6. Who can beat the scenery as this crazy group of teams really starts to show their personalities! Lena & Kristy led the pack for 80% of the leg, which
only sort of didn't at all make up for their elimination on the next leg. Teams raced each other in two boats of 10, where one was completely dysfunctional and the other had all the strong teams in it. So intense, and sent home a meh team that nobody cared for anyway.
Leg 3: Season 7. The Race doesn't get any more classic than Rob's villainous scheming, and Debbie & Bianca's almost comeback was memorably sad. Nobody wanted to see them go home after Debbie dominated the Roadblock!
Honorable Mention: Season 20. This leg was incredibly physical and difficult for nearly all of the teams, and it almost knocked out the strongest team in the game! Lots of drama that set the stage for the events of the rest of the season. Very memorable challenges.
Leg 4: Season 11 (All-Stars). This leg was the epic downfall of Rob & Amber. It couldn't have been more perfectly set up - after coming in first place 3 legs in a row, they messed everything up and got eliminated at the end of the world.
Honorable Mention: Season 9. This leg was well-designed, with amazing tasks and scenery, and BJ & Tyler completely dominated it. The Yield and Roadblock drama left some uncertainty about what would happen at the end.
Leg 5: Season 7: Meredith & Gretchen prove to everyone just how tough they are, and avoid elimination; Ray & Deana get their chance to finish first; teams visit an orphanage. A lot of awesome things happen in this episode.
Honorable mention: Season 20: Beautiful leg with awesome and creative tasks. Those beards were insane!
Leg 6: Season 11 (All-Stars). Nothing beats the crazy flight drama that defined this episode. That is The Amazing Race at its finest!
Honorable Mention: Season 7. When Brian & Greg's car flipped, it looked like they were doomed. But the epic footrace happened and things turned out quite differently!
Leg 7: 7th legs are notoriously unmemorable, but I'd say the most memorable for me was Season 9. BJ & Tyler spent hours getting the Lena & Kristy treatment, and Fran & Barry blew Phil's mind by arriving first at the mat.
Leg 8: Season 11 (All-Stars). Just breathtaking night leg. Auschwitz, the sausage, Charla at the knight Roadblock, and Joe & Bill trying to overcome their hopeless penalty. A lot of high stakes!
Honorable Mention: Season 19. Bill & Cathi continued to amaze the audience with how well they did, and were U-turned by a much younger team!
Leg 9: Season 22. Train Trials or Font Follies. What a fun Detour! This was a cool night leg that I need to re-watch because I don't remember it that well.
Leg 10: Season 12. The drama of the Final Four was heavy. The stakes were high for Nathan & Jennifer, since it was her birthday. This leg had some pretty memorable tasks, and it ended up being pretty close.
Honorable Mention: Season 10. Everyone was out to get Dustin & Kandice. This leg was pretty memorable with the gladiator task and the Yield Karma.
Leg 11: Season 12. Perfectly-designed finale. Amazing memory challenge that has not been duplicated in awesomeness since.
Honorable Mention: Season 6. That final Roadblock was definitely high-stakes. Hayden & Aaron had a whirlwind of a day in China.
Leg 12: Season 7. Starting from far behind, Uchenna & Joyce had a lot of ground to make up (and a lot of money as well). And despite having to beg at the Finish Line, it all still worked out in the end!
I won't do Leg 13. But that was fun!
