Looks like one of the hashtags with that pic might indicate that they're going international for leg 2?
You are the last team to arrive.
This is a Philmination leg, so I'm sorry to tell you that you have been Philiminated from the race.

The Pearson departures don't reveal anything

Yeah, there are many possible destinations. It makes me wonder if Leg 1 was in Toronto for the main reason of being a departure point...

I think Jons standup was for leg 1 because he said face off in Toronto.
Leg 1 was all Toronto

Leg 2 is international

Agree to disagree, I guess. The wording of that, although not an exact quote from the person, made it sound very different to me. The remainder of that quote could have just as easily been "11 teams face off in the 2nd leg of the greatest race this country has ever seen". (a line he used repeatedly in S2) I prefer not to get too comfortable arguing if it was 11 or 12 teams at the start. Remember last season and Jenn and Shawn? We will know soon enough. However, one other possible explanation is a start-line elimination, and I don't even want to think about that.

It looks as if the flight may be Toronto > Buenos Aires via Santiago. Air Canada flies the route.

Or maybe this could explain sightings at domestic terminal? A connecting flight through Montreal, for example. Or those teams didn't know what terminal they were at? LOL

Bueno Aires, huh?

I do remember someone mentioning that last season as a possible destination with a Canadian connection.

Strange - there is no direct flight tonight to EZE from YYZ - but there usually is on Sunday. When I check with AC it says take AC 092 to Santiago SCL and then connect to EZE.

I got a little worried when I saw the first leg was Toronto (a city they already raced in), but in theory they probably really chose Toronto because it's a major air travel hub, like why TAR US veered all the way back to Amsterdam this season.

Maybe Air Canada has loosened their grip a bit? I can't wait to see where they go next.  :cheer:

The two blondes (guy and girl with yellow bag) at the begining of the video are not a team! The guy is clearly holding a handbag and his backpack seems really small

Hope is a Buenos Aires leg; but this is the big connection point for all domestic flights (think on TAR20). You just need to put them in charter buses and send them to AEP.

Thats what i thought immediately when i read it. Lots of different places they could go from Toronto.
how many countries do you think they are going this season? TAR Canada has good ratings so they have the budget to go to more places if they want.
