Previously on The Amazing Race Latin America...

Five couples arrived to the resort of Salinas. The race through Ecuador is becoming more competitive. The Detour required team work. Should be accurate while shooting a peculiar catapult. Proved their balance in a particular aquatic Roadblock.

The Ecuadorian commandos claimed their first victory. It took a lot of effort for Colombians to stay up and they made their last dance of the competition.

Today the 4 remaining teams will have to do their best on the captivating scenery of a commune; where fun will be a challenge and the mistakes will cost high in this new leg of The Amazing Race.

Intro.

Alenaveda:
The coast of La Chocolatera is the most salient point over the Pacific Ocean and it was the Pit Stop of the tenth leg of this race across Ecuador.
4 teams remain, but only 1 will win The Amazing Race.

JC & Gio depart in 1st. place.
RI: travel on bus to the commune of Montaņitas, in the province of Santa Elena, and make your way on foot to the Surf Board at the jetty, where they'll find a Claro tablet with the next clue. You have 70usd for this leg of the race.

They pick a cab at the beach to reach the Santa Elena bus terminal.

Juan & Ceci depart in second position. They also pick one of the taxis waiting at the beach.

Javi & Nico in third. They say that they're a little nervous because is leg 11, the last one before F3. "We're 4 and one goes home today", says Nico.

Bros-in-law arrive to the terminal and are informed that the next bus is about to depart; so they run and are able to catch it.

Christian & Dina depart in last place.

In the cab, Juan says that the right strategy was doing a 3 teams race - them, the commandos and argentineans - increasing the distance with the other ecuadorian team to eliminate it.

Javi says that they're only 3 minutes away from father and daughter, and they have a 15 minutes lead over Christian & Dina; but this is a race and that advantage can easily vanish; that now they're depending of luck.
Both teams arrive at the bus terminal at the same time. Both purchase tickets for a bus that departs in five minutes. Nico says they're happy cause they went from second to last to second; but everything is going to be defined on Montaņitas.

When Ecuadorian friends reach the bus terminal, they get seats on a bus departing ten minutes later.

JC & Gio are the first to arrive to Montaņitas.

As always, Jaime introduces the new destination: located between the ocean and the mountain is the commune of Montaņitas. Preferred place of the surfers, this bohemian enviroment of agitated night life receives today to the contestants that keep battling for winning the 100.000 usd.

The commandos drop from the bus and start running through the streets until reaching the jetty. They easily find the Surf board and get the tablet with the clue.

The searching area is between Rocafuerte and 10 de Agosto avenues and the Calle Los Cocteleros and the Cabaņa de Victor on Montaņitas beach.
