I was curious as to when the Dentists left the dock: thanks to 11-14, we now know they left right after the Surfers. That means it took them a long time to finish the rescue task.
Also, I've been prowling around MB and other places trying to find the storefront on 19, but no luck so far.

It's from the episode. "Official Business," silver anniversary, etc....If I had to guess, I'd say teams receive a proclamation, certificate, or something from Garcetti.

Something that may have been overlooked.

On the pit stop mat, Phil handed each team a clue envelope along with the manila envelope, and tells the team they are headed to L.A., and to open the clue and read it, but not aloud. And that they should open the manila envelope when they are told to do so in L.A.

It sounds to me as if they were instructing the teams as to something they did not what the viewer to be aware of until after teams arrive at either the airport in Manila, or somewhere in L.A. whether it's LAX or somewhere else.

It may be teams were told to take the one flight to LAX, or something else. But I suspect the manila envelope contains something they will need to use after they have arrived in LAX.

Why would an elimination EVER be random?

The envelope probably has some route info or something that can only be opened in LA.

Scalloway, Scotland might be included in the city count, even though it's only a small town of ~1000 people.
Amizmiz, Morocco might be counted as a city, as it is a town with ~10,000 people.
The municipalities of Rosario and Naic might also be counted in the city count, even though they're a part of the Manila Metro area???

That's 18 if we include those. I think WRP might include small and/or obscure towns to inflate the city count   :cmaslol

Maybe it's something like the boxes/chests from the TAR 24 finale.

What I meant but did not verbalize was that do 3 envelopes say perhaps "go right" and one says "go left" and that these were handed out randomly?  No worse a thought than others that have bee expressed here over the years.

Nope. Nada. The feds would have a hissyfit because of the rules that govern the show. I wish people would get it. TPTB cannot manipulate the competition in the way some have suggested ever since this twist became apparent. The only new thing is that the final elimination is taking place in the middle somewhere of the final leg, after some tasks, and before any final tasks on the way to the finish line. Thinking they're going to manipulate things somehow iis not gonna happen.

I THINK that maybe the last team to finish the Candy glass jump could be the one eliminated. Or before...

We did not see a 4th team in the boats or the water and they are showing only 3 teams at the container...so it is def before those tasks...
which leaves only the drive to get a clue or the candy glass jump as the elim point. AND we did see Phil briefly at the Jump so that was either a stand up...or an elim.

Just my guess though....

My guess on the envelopes (and that's all it is a guess) is that they're going to play into a clue that they get at some point after arriving in LA.  I could see them getting to a clue box and having the clue instruct them to open the envelope or having the person at a task asking if they have their envelope and then telling them to open it instead of giving them a clue.  It's probably some riddle, picture or map that they have to figure out on the fly.  If they opened it at the airport or wherever before getting on the plane that would have given them the chance to find a computer to try to figure it out which would take the fun out of it for us.  Of course there is an equally likely, if not greater, possibility that I'm completely off base and it's nowhere even close to any of that.

Regarding the final elimination. They could borrow and adjust an idea from TARAU3 and have a memory task on the final flight. Teams would get a written test about the race to complete while airborne. The team with the worst result is eliminated when they land.

I think the manila envelope has something to do with the Candy Glass Jump. I noticed they are wearing a satchel when they jump. Seems like a good think to hold that envelope.

My guesses :

1 - The Manila envelope contains the place where Phil will eliminate the 4th place team.
OR
2 - The Manila envelope must be opened to help/describe/something to do with/ the final task?

The view is to the north but they are driving south!

They are crossing Century Blvd.  Which is odd considering you can't get there from the LAX terminal parking!   :cmas18

This picture Shows the LA City Hall on the right.

So maybe our spec about Manhatten Beach City Hall is wrong and they DO go here? That could be the official business.

The only prob is we didn't think (based on our sightings) that they had TIME to get there...

It's a cool memory task from the looks of it! Also would the glass jump be a roadblock?

The top container has Palermo written on it. Then what they actually need to do with it is unclear.

What if they have to just find the named containers and maybe take down a container code or something kinda like the TARCAN season 2 fast forward?

Palermo - Sicily so they might find the container with name of city they visited?
And I think memory task might be a Roadblock, we see Bethany & Misty doing that without their partner in sight.
The envelope somehow I think related to breaking window task. It looks like cascadeur task or something (I remember this kind of task in TARVN 1 final).

I been looking over the candy glass jump.

In this Picture you can see that there are at least two window jumps and once has already been used. Whom ever is going out that window is in at least second place.

However, in this photo, Which Maya is jumping out, you can see that that the fake window glass beind her has not been used yet. The Shoes match ones she has worn all race, and the voice heard matched hers.

So is it possible they are in first? Or, some very tricky editing here?

I'd assume so - we saw Bethany hug Adam when he was holding a RB clue and saying "You're my action hero", so I'm assuming that the first RB clue will be "Who is an action hero?"

The one in both photos are Maya unless they reuse one of the window. And I think that's the case because the second window in two photos are in different states.

So I think The scientists may do that jump in the first place (the second one in your post, yellow shoes, Maya) then Adam & Bethany (in cap #3, the guy is more fit, so Adam not Jim) and last one is Jim & Misti (the first one in your post, the guy looks big). That's my guess.

It's very likely that there will be 2 RBs in the final leg, first the action one and second the memory one, and obviously the one who has done the first can't do the second, otherwise I won't understand why Jim didn't do the memory task himself as he's always think the team depends on him more than his wife lol

Then Amy & Maya may finally get a first-place finish when the teams meet Phil at the final Pit Stop before heading to the Finish Line!

I don't think there will be a Pit Stop in the middle of the leg (my guess). I think Phil will just pop up after the last-place team has completed a task or two and eliminate them.

Maybe in a similar way as it happened in TAR10, with an instruction of going to a specific location for the next clue and teams suddenly find Phil waiting for them.

From TV Guide:

Quote
Phil: (About the mid-point Elimination) Along the way, they'll turn up somewhere and one team won't be able to continue. It's based on who's last at that particular point. It really has to do with them turning up somewhere where only three teams can do something.
The story so far:
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move

Do you think fans will be happy with the winner? What's the finish like?
Keoghan: I think so. We've been blessed with our finishes. It is once again a close finish. I think it's because there are a lot of challenges that helped neutralize the leg and also with four teams. It actually created more of an opportunity for a close finish. It's what we want. The finish we had last season with Dave and Connor — [the teams] were literally in the air at the same time. This one is a good one too. It's exciting. It's one of those episodes where you'll come away feeling satisfied.

It'd be interesting to see a Roadblock task prior to the elimination mid-point, and then the whole "Double Roadblocks" twist for afterward. They owed us 3 roadblocks!!! But I think it's just gonna be a bunch of Route Info tasks before they're eliminating someone. I just hope the tasks were not super linear that whoever got the last cab on LAX would essentially got the boot, cause that would suck.

Maybe the clue that leads to the elimination mid-point will have something that implicitly stated the location and Racers would have to solve that clue to figure out where is the exact location. Phil will be waiting for them on the location with the mat on the ground. There's gotta be be a mat on the ground!!!

Maybe that's how Brooke & Robbie are eliminated, then -- Brooke comes in dead last.
