Nicest teams.
« on: October 13, 2014, 10:56:22 AM »
So , Doganieri said the secret to win the race is to be nice all the time. Who were the nicest teams you can remember?

Mallory at is own it's nicer than a lot of teams out there. Andy & Tommy were nice all the time too.

Got it! Thanks!

And the secret to winning? Be nice.

Doganieri says her favorite
contestants -- and those that tend to be most successful -- take time to smile
at locals, ask politely for help and show respect for the culture of the country
they're racing through. This can result in game-changing advantages. "If you
give just a little respect," Doganieri says, "you will get it back tenfold."

I sincerely doubt being nice has anything to do with the outcome. Nat & Kat U-turned Chad & Stephanie for "competition reasons", yet they were already one of the strongest teams and ahead to begin with - still won.

Dan & Jordan - Initiated the conflict between Brent and Caite/Carol and Brandy, treated their cab drivers in China like sh*t, cut Jet & Cord in line at the airport for no reason, then manipulate a flight attendant to get a lead even though the rules were that they all needed to be equal (even acknowledging this in a post race interview by saying "it didn't matter who was in line in what order because it would have been the same anyways).

Rachel & Dave - Absolutely horrible people who fought all the time and still won.

Bates and Anthony - Last time I checked, U-turning someone for basically no reason is considered bullying, alliance with Max & Katie who were rude to Joey and Meghan for no reason.

Jason and Amy - Despite helping out Nicole and Travis half the race, Amy basically says they suck and were never going to win in the first place. Saying things behind another's back is just wrong.

Dave & Connor - Do I really need to explain here?

Rob & Brennan, Flo & Zach, Uchenna & Joyce, Tyler & James, TK & Rachel, Tammy & Victor, Nat & Kat, Josh & Brent should on the list of nicest people who win the race. (Chip & Kim, Hippies, Rachel & Dave, Bates & Anthony, Jason & Amy, Dave & Connor just barely not making to the list.)

Uchenna and Joyce to Meredith and Gretchen, giving them money and even clothes after their NEL, then went on to share flight information with them and helping them on some occasions (carry boats) when there was a physical task.

THANK GOODNESS THEY WON. :D

Chester & Ephraim, and Michael & Scott seemed like genuinely nice teams.  Just a pity they both fell at the 3rd Leg.  :'(

Amy and Maya

I liked Amy & Maya, but I wouldn't consider them for this because they (mainly Maya) got a bit nasty towards the end of the race, especially towards Brooke, IIRC? ???
