It's Time To Stop Calling Jet & Cord Homophobes
« on: July 19, 2014, 06:40:48 PM »
First of all I know completely that this should be in the contestants discussion, but to be fair nobody has posted in the cowboys' thread since May. People, there is no way Jet called Jordan a fag during Leg 12 in TAR 16. Dan and Jordan had the infamous interview on Realitytvworld and Dan specifically said "Yeah, Jet hates gays." Now, for the record, Dan vaguely said something Jordan did on the race must have caused this: Yes. ofc they did something to the Cowboys, they cut them in line, and acted like hypocrites after the race by saying in the interview it would not have hindered any performance, since "My brother has this magic ability to make friends with people he meets.", and vroom, to first class they go. Also, cutting in line is extremely rude, which Jet and Cord were always polite, so I don't think it's wrong of him to be rude back, after all, treat people the way you want to be treated. It has nothing to do with a homophobic nature, it's just about payback, and to hate the Cowboys for such a reason is unfounded, and that's why I'm posting this.

Homophobic comment doesn't really equal skipping in line?

You snooze you lose

It's not just that they're alleged homophobes. It's that they're extremely boring and bland racers who for no reason are almost universally loved. Not to mention their horrible personalities. During the Leg 10 U-Turn on Season 24, what did they say when Leo & Jamal U-Turned them? "Those two dirty suckers, I knew we should never have trusted them when we first saw them." So not only are they all the things above, they are (potential) racists too.

And they're always "racing on their own". Want to know why? It's because a lot of other teams dislike them as well.

"Hate the game but not the players." *Pats Cowboys shoulder* "Don't hate" Hate to tell you but Dan and Jordan were mocking them too. Also dirty suckers doesn't have to be considered racist. They said that because Afghan was playing a dishonest race (no pun intended), and they said the same thing about the Globetrotters too, but they made up in TAR 24.

Afghanimals were playing a lot more honest game then last time around. I seem to remember in Leg 3 that the Afghanimals helped the Cowboys at the detour but when the Afghanimals needed a hand, the Cowboys didn't seem to care at all.

Also the cutting in line did NOT cause Dan & Jordan to win. The move to first class did which happened on the plane. Dan & Jordan made a great move there which won them the race. The cutting in line did nothing to help them win and it was an accident.

Nonsense. If you're last in line you're risking being the furthest back in business class, which means possibly being the last to hop in a cab or catch transport, so D&J were cutting in line to also try and get an advantage, which was further boosted via upgrade. And Dan and Jordan explained it enough to know what they were doing, even saying "There's a nice little line". Also, sleeping after a full day of exhaustion? Come on, and if they were awake enough to see J&C there and put there bags there does not matter. Also, being cautious while accepting help isn't a bad thing, and tbh "not caring" just means they didn't want to get too invested in an alliance in order to avoid being backstabbed, which they were and Marie thought it was enough of an issue to point out that you never really can trust Afghan. The moral of the story you ask? Look what happened.

Here's the thing. After the Race Tim & Marie became the best of friends with the Afghanimals. What happened to the Cowboys? ;)

They cut in line to get an advantage.
They upgraded to get an advantage and only did it in the last hour of flight iirc so they didn't get advantages wrt sleeping.
Also ftr U-Turns are a part of the game and you have to d.w.i.

As for the U-Turn. The Afghanimals were going to U-Turn Brendon & Rachel but decided to U-Turn their strongest competition because of what happened to Jamal's knee. That's not back-stabbing, It's a smart move. They never said to the Cowboys that they wouldn't U-Turn them.

How exactly did they backstab?

Helping out->Say u-turn Cowboys in secret scene->Promise Country and Cancer uturn Brenchel->get hurt->uturn Cowboys and say they want them to suffer the pain they did, when Cowboys did nothing wrong. Plus Marie said "If you guys threepeat I'll go with you." Clearly Marie is manipulating them.

So you're calling Marie a manipulator based on her SHOW appearance? What a horrible person she must be. And the Afghans never said they wanted Cowboys to suffer? :res:

Well you could argue (and I will) that the Cowboys should have had the courtesy to help Leo & Jamal when they got stuck and at the very least, checked up on them to see if they were ok.

No, it benefitted Brenchel and gave them the record the Cowboys could never achieve no matter how many times they would run the Race :')

So its perfectly fine to call a homosexual person a slur because they cut in line? That's just ridiculous.

Backstabbing is a part of the game.

Leo & Jamal never said they wouldn't U-Turn Cowboys to their faces.

And if so it's still a game and people aren't going to be nice and pansy to each other because that's boring. See: TAR24 alliance.

This was before I remembered the interview, doesn't matter it happened after the race which I corrected. I'd make a big deal myself, I'm generally polite myself, being rude is still rude. And payback isn't specifically homophobic, they were **** on so did the same. Talking about character is deviation btw.
