Is Malta a new country? If it is, so thrilled right now! :hearts:

Nope. They are just island what belong to Poland

LOL! I'm polish and Malta had never belong to Poland ;) Our flags (and the indonesian flag - TAR AU 1 ;) are similar, though  ;D

Edit. It's Monako flag that I had in mind, not Malta  :groan: However Malta is pretty close to (oh, those reds and whites)

Lake Malta, known also as the Maltański Reservoir,[1] is an artificial lake in Poznań, Poland. It was formed in 1952 as a result of the damming of the Cybina River. It is about 2.2 km long, which makes the lake the biggest man-made lake of the city.

The lake in Poznan and the island on the Mediterranean Sea haven't got much in common.

India has several places still not visited that I would love to see - Bangalore, Goa, Udaipur, Kerala, Hyderbad. It is a vast and diverse place, would be interesting to see a side of India we don't expect unlike the usual visits to New Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Kolkata etc.

Obviously would love them to visit Manila, Daraga etc. in the Philippines, it has been so long since we have seen this country visited. And Laos, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Jordan, Nepal or Myanmar would be incredibly interesting but these won't be visited this season I don't think...there are many countries to see - but new parts of the world are all I want and so far we are being delivered with a wonderful, diverse route!

More surprising is that this has been a totally northern hemisphere route so far. and most of it west of the Greenwich meridian.
It makes we wonder if we're in for a TAR 7 route (hope not, but still).

so far we are being delivered with a wonderful, diverse route!

If there's no Asia, no South America and 5 legs in Western Europe so far I really don't consider this diverse. Right now we're sitting on roughly 10,000 miles and it's at least leg 8... this route is awful, for a race around the world they haven't gone very far.

The locations are nice, but there is definitely not the best variety of locations across the entire globe we're seeing here. And I honestly think the European legs are some of the less challenging ones out there... nothing is as exciting as seeing racers run through Asia or Africa imo. This route is really underwhelming, at least for me anyway.

While I love this route, that is why I hate westward routes. Asia is so much better for the 2nd half of the season, makes the race harder and more competitive.

I'm with you on that part, Asian legs towards the end are great. But this race hasn't left much time to go and run some decent Asian legs :(

But to call this route diverse is wrong I think. Great locations? Arguably. But TAR23 had a way more diverse route than this season... like supah said, this is Europe overload.

we need Asia it can't be diverse unless they visit at least four continents
