Do you think we'll see multiple back-to-back NELs?

1. We know from Neobie Margie & Luke survive this leg, meaning this leg is a non-elimination
2. Caroline & Jen are NEL in Italy.
3. We know Leg 10 has five teams.

I don't think that's quite right. We know that leg 4 is a NEL and that in Leg 5 Margie and Luke are eliminated. Then in Leg 6 the country girls are saved by a NEL since they have to do a speedbump in Italy.

I think that's correct, not sure though.

Maybe I worded it wrongly, but what I meant we have multiple NELs like for example Leg 4 is an NEL, Leg 5 Margie & Luke goes, Leg 6 is an EL... Leg 8?

Sorry I'm autistic like Zev and I suck at wording things.

Now I understand number 1.
For number two, maybe we can say CaroJen got NEL'd on the leg before Italy, or we can also say they have a speedbump on Italy.

Random question, but out of curiosity, does anyone know what the cancelled Legs were this season? I've heard there was quite a few replacement Legs, but was it ever revealed what those original countries were supposed to be?

Supposedly the Malaysian legs were a replacement for legs in the Philippines which had a very strong typhoon damage much of Manila and other areas shortly before the race started. However, nobody really knows for sure.

Beyond that, we don't even know where some of the legs were, let alone whether they were replacement legs. That's my impression, but I've been wrong before a few times.

And there was a leg in Melbourne which was cut as well.

Yea, I remember hearing something about Melbourne. I love Australia, and wish they'd go there more often. Wonder why it was cut?  :'(
If I'm right, UB was the last time they went to Oz, wasn't it?

And there was a leg in Melbourne which was cut as well.

STRONGLY suspected...but could not be confirmed. But I think it was real...

Malaysia both legs almost certainly. There was an extra funny delay after China leg 2....Also suspicious. Was China meant to be 2 legs ? Unknown.

So China>China>Malaysia> Malaysia  could have been meant to be China>Philippines>Philippines>Melbourne.

We may never know for sure, sadly. I love that TAR was able to take a disaster and reschedule on such short notice, that is experience and a dedicated team at work. Major kudos for pulling it off.

BUT...I will prob always grieve for what could have been, this season would have been better. Heh, I am still grieving for the lost Tanzania leg in Season 11!!

Why does everyone say that leg 1 and leg 2 had the same greeter? I see two different guys with different outfits.

You are right they are different and they are even wearing different uniforms but the overall impresion makes them look too much alike.

True!

I'm thinking there won't be a memory task on the final Leg though. That's strictly my thoughts as I'm still baffled how there are zero yet discovered TAR sightings in one of the most commonly visited cities in the United States.

I'm not deactivating my luck until I know for sure. Still have my fingers crossed for Bootleg Canyon of Boulder City. :hrt:

I thought a pit stop greeter finale task was the dream?  ???
Maybe they could visit the idea of setting up the costumes of each pit stop greeter at the end?

Cool Idea. Maybe they could go to the dressing room or backstage in one of the Vegas casino's theater or something similar. However, the casinos are crowded, so maybe not....

Well, just a random thought, could the final task be the skyscrapers they visited?

I mean, in China they had Canton Tower, in Malaysia they had Petronas, and in Srilanka (if it's not a wrong sightings) they had WTCC...  :colors

That's an idea, and it's a good one, though I don't really think it's possible regarding the number of double-legs this season, which would mean low number of those skyscrapers :P

They can order it by country, I think, not only based on the number of legs. And FYI, the WTCC is also a twin tower!  ;)

In the current season of The Amazing Race, which is All-Stars. Philippines were originally to be in legs 3-4 and canceled due to last year's Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) in Leyte, earthquakes in Cebu and Bohol and military standoff in Zamboanga (a province located southwest of the country).

And it was replaced into Malaysia legs by a last minute. .
Remember Malaysia was one of the planned legs in TAR23?

Knowing that makes me understand why the Malaysian legs were a little bit lack lister in terms of the tasks used.(I didn't mind them but there was no WOW)

It also explains why it seems like the rafting wasn't fully safety-tested.

On The Amazing Race Australia 2, is there a reason why teams flew to Havana to get to the Pit Stop after going to the Parisian footbridge? I find it odd.

I found that really odd too... It was a "To be continued" leg, but still...

There was a Detour in Havana that wasn't shown, after the airport and before the nightclub. Among the other hints, teams arrive at 3:20pm (or thereabouts, my memory's fuzzy) and the nightclub is at most 22 minutes away on a straight road, yet nobody arrives until after sunset several hours later.

Do you have any more sourcing or 'evidence' on this? I'd love to add it to the wiki, but that's a little thin at the moment.
