Looks like they are/were an hour ahead of the other 3 spotted teams

I forgot that Phil was seen the day before the teams in Rome!

That makes it much more likely that there was only one leg between Colombo and Rome, meaning Rome was likely Leg 7, and we have one team unaccounted for!

Also,  Phil tweeted at the start of the race "12 shows, 21 days". Not sure if we're counting calendar days or perceived days?

Neobie, I'm pretty sure that is probably the number of days as seen in the Pacific time zone on the west coast, even though it might seem like 22 days for the Racers.

Maybe I need to go read my Jules Verne again, but shouldn't it be 20 days for the racers if they start by flying over the date line?

I believe it matters whether you go east or west around the world. All I am saying.

Yes, if they travel westward they will experience 20 sunrises but if they go eastward they will see 22. But this only means that the days get longer or shorter, not that they get any more time. I.e. the number of hours is constant.

Alive and breathing.

Whether or not they are still in the race is unknown.

The lapse on the webcam site is available for yesterday. It's too fast. I tried pausing every second maybe I could have found the missing but failed. Maybe someone else can check also?

Could what we have now be the 2nd leg in Rome? That would make it Leg 8 too right? Because we seem to have 1 missing team if CaroJen's Speedbump is indeed true. Perhaps they got NEL'ed on Leg 7?

I really think the Speedbump sign/RI sign was probably AFTER the Spanish Steps too. When the last team passed that point, production would have dismantled that location. The photos of that location were all posted on social media after the RB. Since the photos were by different people, I believe that they were posted pretty quick from people's cell phones in probably near real time.

One interesting note, the location of the Speedbump sign is literally feet away from the suggested route from Da Vinci Airport to the Spanish Steps.

According to Wikipedia, usually the last 3 eliminated teams get to race as decoys.

We also have a tweet from yesterday of clues in another place.

giardini just means gardens......which gardens....did you ask him which one? There are a LOT of gardens in Rome.....it could be this one.......but who knows?

http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giardini_romani

It is also a very common name for restaurants

I did a search on GE for that word and got about 50 places in Rome.....lol. Btw, I did the search right after you posted the original note. It seemed a pretty senseless clue as it is stated.

Since it is close to the other places, I do like the Giardini de Lago at the Villa Borghese. It just says TAR all about the place. But this is just my very selfish speculation.

The Medici estate is next to the Spanish steps too. It could be the gardens on this estate.
