I also think there will be 2 countries visited on 1 leg at some point deeper into the race. :hoot: I think it might be a small minor country like Andorra. Oh and btw, UB did that for leg 9 - they visited Liechtenstein, but went on to Switzerland for the detour & pitstop. ;)

???

As we all know, Bopper started the race. He was replaced last minute by Mallory. Pretty straightforward. And exactly what Chateau reported from the start line.

Seriously?? :o
I knew Bopper had been asked, but never realised how far into planning he was. I thought he pulled out once he was asked, and they just used Mallory instead.

It'll be interesting to see whether CBS release an updated cast photo featuring Mallory, or what way they'll work it.  ???

Thanks for the clarification! Today is the first day since November that I've got time to browse RFF for updated info.  :'( I haven't even got to watch the preview yet!!  :iok I'm so out of the season 24 loop, but going to fix that now  :yess: And I agree, it does explain the starting line drama!

is wikipedia always true? if it is, then we have the fourth continent that isn't listed in our timeline :conf: :conf:
Don't always depend on Wikipedia. Anybody can edit any un-padlocked page on there and get away with it.

ASSUMING WIKIPEDIA'S 100% ACCURACY. i doubt it would have visited a new country since the information is not leaked. Amazing race always releases information about new country being visited before airings, unless it didn't have a new country.

i think there would be two possibilities,
first, leg 8 or leg 9 being an african leg and europe as penultimate
or
leg 8 and 9 were in europe and a penultimate in south america ( just like UB )
i would've preferred the first scenario though :D

I'd prefer the first scenario tho. It's been a while South America as a Penultimate Le. Europe was just in Season 22 as a Penultimate Leg  :res:

In all likelihood, we have two legs in Africa, unless either Morocco/Tunisia/etc. was visited. In any case, Africa is most likely our fourth continent.

Here are a few ideas for possible routes for the second half of the season:

leg 7: Sri Lanka -> Italy
leg 8: Italy -> West Africa
leg 9: West Africa
leg 10: West Africa -> Spain
leg 11: Spain -> UK/France
leg 12: UK/France -> USA

leg 7: Sri Lanka -> Italy
leg 8: Italy -> North Africa
leg 9: North Africa
leg 10: North Africa -> Spain
leg 11: Spain -> UK/France
leg 12: UK/France -> USA

leg 7: Sri Lanka -> Italy
leg 8: Italy -> Central Europe
leg 9: Central Europe -> North Africa
leg 10: North Africa -> Spain
leg 11: Spain -> UK/France
leg 12: UK/France -> USA

Even if it was the case that Africa was visited in between Italy and Spain, there can't be a double leg there as that would still only be 8 countries.

There could still be a double leg in Africa if a different leg has two countries visited, similar to Leg 9 of season 18. Also, there could be two African legs in a row in different countries as Africa is not a country.

What about Italy -> Morocco -> Gibraltar -> Sevilla (Spain)? Gibraltar is a country and Morocco isss in Africa. Gibraltar is also very close to Sevilla and Morocco. ;-)

Nice map Don Task! :D However, technically Gibraltar isn't a sovereign country as it is a British Overseas Territory. I also thought that there were two confirmed legs in Italy...

Woo... thanks. Indeed there's a leg in Africa, probably Morocco between Italy and Spain.

Let's check the times and dates people saw teams in Italy and Seville, Spain. That will probably give me an idea on flight (or ferry) possibilities as well as if other North/West Africa countries could fit the route.

i kinda think that those teams went  to central africa, because if they just went to northern africa, the distance won't add up to 35000 miles ( again  ASSUMING WIKIPEDIA'S ACCURACY )

So the-most-boring-route-ever with tons of double legs, Switzerland and Wales being our unknown legs and Ethiopia being the cancelled leg is true? If so, I am gonna be extremely disappointed.  :gaah:

Will the route of Amazing Race 25 be like Leg 1 - 3 China, Leg 4 - 6 India, Leg 7 - 9 Spain, Leg 10 - 11 UK with even more lies and rubbish in press release? I'll bet that's the true! *IRONY*

The more I hear about 24, the more I hope they're doing this one on the cheap & easy to save up and do something really Amazing for the 25th edition.

Which country though? All the countries look pretty unsafe to me.

Yeah, I'm hoping for that, too.  :iok
They definitely saved up some by not doing all the casting crap and just calling past racers. Though it's pennies, it seems like everything counts now. :lol:

As much as I love the idea of another All-Stars, this race seems pretty lame. Since the producers have evolved into absolute cheapos, I predict the route will be something like this...

Leg 1: USA --> China
Leg 2: China
Leg 3: China --> Malaysia
Leg 4: Malaysia
Leg 5: Malaysia --> Sri Lanka
Leg 6: Sri Lanka
Leg 7: Sri Lanka --> Italy
Leg 8: Italy
Leg 9: Italy --> Morocco
Leg 10: Morocco --> Spain
Leg 11: Spain --> Paris, France --> London, UK
Leg 12: London, UK --> USA

Sorry CBS, but you disappoint :/

I'd agree with this prediction if there was no double leg in Italy, I highly doubt that.

Here is my idea for the route:

Leg 1: USA --> China
Leg 2: China
Leg 3: China --> Malaysia
Leg 4: Malaysia
Leg 5: Malaysia --> Sri Lanka
Leg 6: Sri Lanka
Leg 7: Sri Lanka --> Italy
Leg 8: Italy (Sardinia)
Leg 9: Italy --> Morocco
Leg 10: Morocco --> Spain
Leg 11: Spain --> Andorra --> Paris, France
Leg 12: Paris, France --> USA

This is pure speculation on my part.
