Redemption island could put candice and john against each other at some point. I wonder what they would do if they have to face each other.

They already did face off against each other + Marissa

I think Richard meant if they had to face off and one of them would go home.
For example, if the third person were to win the duel first, it would come down to Candice vs John to stay in the game. Maybe they will collectively agree on who should keep going, or else they may battle for it.
