mellodoo's been chasing all over bandung once again..

but no sight

we believe it's a non-city place

so they won't be tweets rite?

and maybe it's quite far from city which is harder to detect coz our communication is like limited inside city...

we believe we'll catch a snapshot if it's around city and helped by some info, but out of it??

well let's see the show then...:)

The Timeline & Spoiler Summary has not yet been updated, but from the info provided there and the info provided on the live sightings, here's what I can tell/guess:
Leg 1- either Team Duck Dynasty or Older Couple is eliminated. :(
Leg 7- probably where the brunettes got eliminated :(
NEL/TBC is probably on the 3rd or 4th leg. Other NELs/TBCs are on the F5 & F4. (Leg 8 & 10)

Metalheads were seen in Santiago, so it has to be the middle aged couple first.

Hopefully the cheerleaders managed to survive, either through the leg being an NEL or a superleg, or by the third and fourth teams to arrive making an error which spared them.

Okay, "switchback"... we have all the teams secured, and have some of their names (Ashley & Aly, baseball wives whose names I forgot , and Tim & Marie).

Our route as we know of is:

Los Angeles --> Iquique, Chile --> Atacama Desert (speculated) --> Lisbon, Portugal --> Narvik, Norway --> Poland --> Doha, Qatar (speculated) --> Indonesia

Countries "raced": Greece (2019), Italy (2017), Switzerland (2017), Taiwan (2016), U.S. (WA 2013, CA [S.F. 2014, L.A. 2023], TX 2021, IL all the time)

Thanks. :)

I have a STRONG feeling the race will end on the West Coast and I'll be traveling to Seattle for two or three days after Independence Day, so I'll keep a watchdog in that city since California has been covered in TAR16 poorly and TAR17 greatly. Don't think it will be Oregon again since TAR13 basically covered everything there is to do there except visit Bill & Cathi's farm.

The route looks like this:

Leg 1: Los Angeles, U.S.A. to Iquique, Chile (Last Middle Aged Hispanic Couple was seen)
Leg 2: Iquique to Santiago, Chile (Last Metalheads, Footballers seen, last photo of Team Bingo)
Leg 3: Santiago, Chile to Sintra, Portugal (Last Blue M/M was seen) (I put my bets on this being the 'Keep Racing Leg' for this season)
Leg 4: Sintra, Portugal to Svolvaer, Norway
Leg 5: Svolvaer, Norway to Gdansk, Poland (*Possible* last mention of Team Bingo- are they the 'Father/Son' team?) (W-turn mentioned)
Leg 6: Gdansk, Poland to Vienna, Austria (this leg or the following is another NEL)
Leg 7: Vienna, Austria to ? ? ? (Doha, Qatar a strong possibility) (last sighting of Brunette girls)
Leg ??: ? ? ? to Bandung, Indonesia (F5 confirmed, possible NEL)

That is generally what I have speculated and inferred from the general spoilers that we've had

I'm pretty sure S16 was covered pretty well... the one's doing the covering decided to withhold some of the information until a later time for safety purposes

Also, the Bay can be covered this time too, if they choose to come back here, and if my fellow RFFers so wish ;) #fingerscrossed

I think the Bay Area is a possibility; maybe this time the Oakland/Berkeley region will be visited. I do think 88%, the final leg will be locked on West Coast. :hoot:

Just to chime in and verify Peach; if teams flew from Bandung to Denpasar, they are almost virtually guaranteed to go to Australia.  If they were going anywhere in Asia, it would make infinitely more sense to take buses from Bandung to Jakarta (it's less than 2 hours) and/or take the direct flight from Bandung to Singapore, where, well ... it's easy to gets places.

I hated Bandung as a traveler and am curious to why they traveled there (it's a great city to live in, but to travel to?  I don't know how compelling it will appear on TV.  It's more of a Surabaya than a Jogja/Bali), but as a historian/anthropologist, Bandung probably is one of the most interesting cities in its role in Third World globalism politics, Indonesian history, and the global non-aligned movement.  Sorry, dork.

It's more of a Surabaya than a Jogja/Bali)

Bandung and Surabaya aren't similar at all in my opinion..

Given that last season teams got routed through Perth to get to Bali from Christchurch, going to Singapore to get to anywhere in Australia makes sense, even if it's not the fastest or most direct route, if that creates a time bubble to get Phil and production to where they're headed first. (Don't forget production will send teams on a more indirect or slower paced route for that reason, and it becomes more apparent as we have fewer teams and we're getting to the end of the Race.

It's looking to me more and more as if WRP is aiming for a Fourth of July finish, especially if a trans-Pacific flight from Asia to the west coast or inland U.S. is coming up.

I'm at work in central SG & unable to go to Changi Airport today though, so I don't think I'd be of much help in finding their final destination.
I'd totally faint if they raced in Singapore. I'll be watching the LIVE Sightings thread very closely today...
