TAR Vietnam

Just to be clear:

SIngapore was TAR VietNam>>confirmed

Bandung is TAR 23 >>confirmed.

SPEC: Have to wonder if this was a PLANNED leg or a SUBSTITUTE leg since the conditions with the HAZE in Malaysia are so bad....

Now I'm confused as to what's us and what's not. As far as I am aware, the Vietnam version of TAR doesn't have team colors, so the blue team would have to be related to us.

The 'just-landed' and 'just-posted' tweets coming from 2 different persons in Singapore airport is us I think..

yes to my home country please!  Just go to Palawan and Cebu or Clark, Pampanga before going back to the US, and that's the best place to race there.  And I do believe that Bandung, Indonesia is a 9th leg for TAR 23.  Just hang on Filipinos, let's pray and we should get ready for our cameras and computers to spread the sightings and spoilers. :hrt:

Looks like it, yeah, and probably they need to go through goat-fight arena to retrieve it...

Looks like just a normal Route Info...

A Switchback from the final road block on TAR Season 9?  We'll see and we will find out on the final episode of TAR 23 but did you know that the country of Monaco also have similarity to the flags of Poland and Indonesia?  Well, thank god they didn't raced to that country for this season or else the Final 3 teams will get more confusion. :funny:

Bandung is TAR 23 >>confirmed.

SPEC: Have to wonder if this was a PLANNED leg or a SUBSTITUTE leg since the conditions with the HAZE in Malaysia are so bad....

I lean towards it being a substitute leg. I'm surprised they went back to Indonesia again (happily so, I like the Indonesian legs). One sign for a substitute leg would be somewhere they are familiar and comfortable with and know they can set up a leg on short notice. Obviously they have developed some good working relationships with companies in Indonesia and they are familiar with the need of the TAR production team.

One other thought: In the last few days or so, I saw an interview (probably linked to here but I can't find it), where either BVM or Phil discussed how planning for the last few seasons has changed since CBS cut their filming budget. Now, if they film a couple of legs in an expensive location like Europe, they have to balance it with a couple of legs in relatively inexpensive locations. I'm not sure where the potentially moved leg was originally going to be (Malaysia seems likely), but both Malaysia and Indonesia would appear to be relatively inexpensive locations to my uninformed eyes.

TAR can't travel anywhere in the Pacific Rim or Asia, without a swarm of eyewitnesses who can follow and record what is happening.

Proving this race isn't designed for all male teams to win like some people think.
