There is no nationwide advisory in effect for Kuwait. However, you should exercise a high degree of caution due to crime and the general threat of terrorist attacks."

Well they went to Kuwait about 6-7 years ago. There are American troops stationed there. I just dont think they will go there for the reason there is not much to do there. They covered about all  there was to do in TAR 10.

I can't understend why the Kuwait speculations...

Also , they did went to Doha? How do we know that?

Standing on the Qatar Airways doesn't necesseraly means they are going to Doha...

I think it was the only flight from Vienna on Qatar Airways that day :duno:

Remember that team was only seen at the counter, they're not checking-in, they could though bought a ticket, or looking for a stand-by list,...

there are so many connecting flights for that airline company, just take a look at their website: http://www.qatarairways.com/global/en/route-map.page

And I do believe right now they're done on Europe leg and their going to Asia right now, and hopefully that Qatar is just a connecting one and they should go to my country [the Philippines] especially to the exotic province of Palawan just like what it done on season 5 (since they'd been there), TAR Phils. and TAR Ukraine.  Also, no India for this season pls!  :gaah:

P.S.
BTW, hopefully they'd watched the NBA Finals before they'd left from Austria and go for the next leg. :funny:

Or searching for another option without buying, or checking in at a flight of another company which may have also been operated by Qatar Airlines...

This page shows all the code shares of Qatar Airways

http://www.qatarairways.com/tz/en/codeshare-partners.page

They could be flying to Japan, South Korea or Malaysia (three two likely destinations).

Forgot about haze. Malaysia is out.

I strongly doubt that TAR23 will visit Singapore (Haze just subsided from Singapore, but light haze still persist), Indonesia (Haze still going on), Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur and Muar haze reached over 750 points), and maybe Thailand
Singaporean here - PM me, if you need me to translate, Chinese, Malay, English, German or Japanese

Singapore is so much likely destination as the start of Asian race of this season as the City-state visited different versions of The Amazing Race, including its Ukrainian version.

The haze had reached 401 points in Singapore on midday Friday local time (11:00 pm Thursday board time).

The haze is down to 73 as of this post. I am pretty sure it's either India/China, considering Korea is out of question due to the recent North Korea threats, Japan for the radioactivity that's still persisting for the remaining 5/6 legs.

Philippines is more likely a location (??), and if they really want to include a new and safe country, Brunei is a country which is safe and yet to be visited by TAR US.

I don't think the tweet posted belongs to us as you can see from her tweets that she's from Kentucky and is visiting Mexico and I guess it's Asia's or Africa's turn in the race now. Maybe she is talking about a local race

I think if they were in Kathmandu, someone would already spot them. I have been there last July and Kathmandu is small and packed with tourists. Internet is quite well accessible there.

I hope to see Kathmandu this season, it was one of the best places I have ever been to, however the climate in June/July is quite a problem. Too rainy and foggy. We had to fly to Mt. Everest twice because of fog!

The monsoon floods in Bangkok (TAR14) and Cai Be (TAR15) never hurt either. I'm pretty sure the teams are in Asia for sure or just on an airplane or two making people a little paranoid. For remote locations, I am thinking Tajikistan. I really love Dushanbe, and I'm hoping they could visit Iskanderkul because it's only a 2 or 3 hour drive from the int'l airport.

(Making a free-time season featuring that country in a double-length leg :hearts:)

This is a long shot, but I think it fits:    :waves:

Back to Songwe Village !

Here is how it would happen:

The flight we have identified:   Flight QR 96 VIE to DOH taking off at 3:42 pm, landing at 10:03 pm
connection with flight QR 584 DOH to JNB taking off at 1:20 am, landing at 8:20 am

It's not the best flight combination to take but it is a close alternative.  The best routing arrives only 55 min sooner by schedule.

Here is what other Teams may have booked:

Flight SA 7543 VIE to FRA taking off at 3:04 pm and landing 4:17 pm
Connection with flight SA 261 FRA to JNB taking off at 8:45 pm and landing at 6:59 am

Interesting thought, Chateau. However, there's a lot of interest in TAR in South Africa. It gets shown there and there are lots of local races. I'd have to think that any visit by TAR 23 would have generated numerous Twitter and Facebook messages. Just flying through Johannesburg on the way to Botswana for TAR 22 generated several messages. There were numerous sightings of TAR Ukraine in South Africa at that time as well.  Right now, I haven't seen anything at all from South Africa, so I'm skeptical.

If Phil is tweeting he must be in some sort of location with a decent amount of technological advancements where he can access a computer or internet or cell phone towers.
