In trying to figure out the release times for the four remaining teams, keep in mind production likes to get Bert and Elise and Phil to the next city/country ahead of the teams to do what they need to do as much as possible. The time frame here (along with the multi-modal slower alternative to possibly a direct flight for production) seems to fit that usual scenario.

Beacon of Hope is also a statue in Belfast. Kind of strange putting a name of a statue as a title quote. :res:

Assuming from the caps, I think it's safe to say Caroline & Jennifer will be eliminated in Northern Ireland. :( Mona & Beth are both shown at the ballpark, Anthony and Beth are seen in the Obama cutouts, and Max is seen with the top secret briefcase switchback.

The title is definitely referring to the Beacon of Hope statue though. I don't have a better explanation for that "phrase".

"Beacon of Hope" is a nickname given to that statue in Thanksgiving Square in Belfast. To really understand, one would have to study the history of the independence movement in Ireland for about that last 300-400 years.

From the late 1960s to 1998 in Ulster/Northern Ireland, there was great sectarian violence generally called "The Troubles." A tenuous peace agreement was signed in 1998.

In Dec, 2001, President Bush (43) made a speech praising Ulster (Northern Ireland) for all it had accomplished in stopping the inter-sectarian violence and called Ulster a "beacon of hope" for other societies around the world that peace could be achieved.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/1365765/Ulster-beacon-of-hope-says-Bush.html

The statue was dedicated in 2006/2007 and has since aquired that nickname.

As to how it relates to TAR, it is most likely a personal statement by BVM about his own thoughts about peace. He is pretty outspoken on the subject. That is just my personal opinion.

here are some bog spots mentioned:

Irish bog snorkelling championships in Doohamlet, Monaghan

Peatlands Park in Tyrone

Peatlands Park outside Dungannon

But really, any peaty farm might have a bog-hole!

All of these places are a long way from Belfast. One is actually in Ireland.

Here is another posiblility. There is another ferry port, Larne. It is 23 miles north of Belfast. They could land there......then have the bog snorkeling somewhere between there and Belfast...then head to Belfast. As I said, it is just a possiblility. I also havent the foggiest idea if there is any bogs in that area. There are 7 ferries a day from Cairnryan to Larne, M-F. There are also ferries from Troon to Larne, that would reduce bus or train time about an hour.

I'm not sure about in December, but at the moment there are only two sailings from Troon to Larne which is 11:30 and 19:30.

Peatlands Park outside Dungannon is about 30 minutes outside Belfast.

I think the Troon-Larne route is seasonal.

Inside the tent in the dry dock?????

We should be able to find that stained glass window!

Was anyone able to figure out where that window is?  I tried looking, but couldn't find any pictures of that particular stained glass window.  I'm wondering if it's something that was placed there temporarily for the show and maybe it's normally some place that doesn't allow photos or not open to the general public.
