Is the world coming to an end?  That depends if you are an optimist or a pessimist.
Optimist would believe the world is still in the beginning and a pessitmist believes it will end reall soon.  How ever Optimist that I am Survivor Vanuatu will be starting realllllllllll soon and i just can't wait.

Survivor has always been a big deal as one of the first reality shows it will always stand out and try and lead the pack.  Since the show will start soon all the spoilers are out and that maybe why you are seeing more posts.  Wait untilt he show starts...there will be alot more posts....some people play games, others spoil and chat about survivor

I think Survivor gets better every single time I watch it. I think they come up with new twists to keep viewers like me coming back, and even talking about it when it has not even started yet! So therefore, there is just "something" about Survivor that has everyone in a frenzy... And that is why I like to come to this board... to talk with people who are as excited as me about the show...! ^:)^

They do keep it interesting.  i wondered the first season that i watched it how long it would be good but they change it around enough to keep it interesting, plus the different people and different locals also keep it interesting.  It is just good entertainment.

So many of these producers or writers decide that they want the shows to go out as hits and they want to cancel them before people get tired of them, do you think that will be the case with Survivor?  i sure hope not, i just want them to keep doing them...

Actually, i think that MB turned it over to JP because he has so many other irons in the fire that he felt JP could do a better job taking care of his baby than him. Plus, JP has a better idea of what works and doesn't work on the show since he is there for the entire time the taping runs.

So when you say MB turned it over to JP, you mean JP is now the Producer as well as Host??  Will MB continue to be involved w/ Survivor???

I think MB isn't so much tired of Survivor, but rather, he's the type of person who wants & needs change and to move on to new challenges.  He is a very talented person for sure.  :)_|

Change of subject:  I'm tickled that MB & Roma Downey are an item.  I wonder if there are wedding plans?  Has anyone heard?? ?:)?

MB is still producing it i am sure. He just lets JP do everything else from what i heard.

i never even heard anything about Roma Downey, but she can have MB just not JP, lol.

Survivor works because so many viewers get caught up in second-guessing the players and the producers.  Mark Burnett (and now(?) Jiffy) can flop on a challenge or a twist and - guess what? - people talk about it and call even more attention to the show.

Question: Did ANYONE do a dry run on that forgettable dart/arrow/spear challenge from Pearl Islands (or was it All-Stars?) - the one that everyone bombed on?  Another: Everyone switches tribes, except Ambuh.  And there are the questions about (apparently) rigged challenges, including one that etched Granny-In-Thongs in our collective memories.

My point?  Well, I'm wandering afield here.  Survivor works because it appears (at a glance) to be played and put together at or about our level.  That keeps us thinking along with those who are actually involved in putting together what is, arguably, the first and best-conceived reality show there is.
