Final Top Five Boys ~ Las Vegas
« on: March 02, 2013, 05:15:20 AM »
Slim pickings! In the sudden death competition, the last five boys were selected. Lazaro is the boy who stutters when speaking but has a very nice voice when singing.
Josh Holiday sang an original song and played the piano. When he was at the piano, he did well but jumped up to sing the chorus and blew it. None of the judges liked the second part of the performance but gave him credit for singing something original. I thought he would make it into the final 20.

Final 5:
Vincent Powell
Lazaro Arbos
Burnell Taylor
Cortez Shaw
Nick Boddington

Didn't make it
Mathenee Treco
Bryant Tadeo
David Willis
Gurpreet Singh
Josh Holiday

Burnell Taylor Nicki told him he was the best of the night. All of the judges loved this performance.

I was sorta yelling in front of my computer when he got off the piano. I also thought he had ot at the beginning, and know kinda wished his performance ended right before he blew it.

Vincent Powell also gave a superbly outstanding performance. And to think I almost skipped his performance because I haven't noticed him much before!

I thought the same thing, if he had just stayed at the piano, that part was great. Sometimes they give the kids such bad advice, pumping it up at the end and it totally killed what he had accomplished. :(

Lazaro Arbos (Not my favorite song choice from him.)

Vincent Powell “‘Cause I Love You” by Lenny Williams (1978)  (Watch Zoanette in the audience, she's groovin'.)

It really seems to me that this year it will be a girl as AI. The producers will want some of these guys to make the tour but the girls are just so much better. (IMHO)  :)

For the top 20 performances, I would love to see the top 5 girls and guys make it through based on public voting and then the judges decide the remaining three person to make it.. hopefully all are girls!!!
