John and Jessica were required to give the 2nd Express Pass to another team by the end of the 4th leg. They elected to do so one leg earlier than the latest possible time.

First team in Amazing Race history to win an Express Pass and get eliminated. Kinda brought back shades of Lena & Kristy's elimination in TAR6, seeing that it was by way of a Roadblock.

I felt really bad for Jessica – I liked John's spirit of not wanting to just give it up knowing that they're last.
BUT THAT WAS THE PERFECT TIME TO USE THE PASS :groan: :groan: :groan:
I would have imagined their elimination as "sad" and "defeated" but John made it awkward :lol:
