Big Brother 15: longer season, earlier debut, new schedule

http://www.realityblurred.com/realitytv/archives/big_brother_15/2013_Jan_12_schedule-changes

Big Brother 15 will break from tradition and debut two weeks earlier than usual, on June 26 at 9 p.m. That gives the series “a longer edition this summer,” CBS said, and it will presumably end, as usual, in mid-September, when Survivor debuts.

CBS announced that this morning along with a new schedule for the show: It will now air Tuesdays at 9, Wednesdays at 9, and Sundays at 8. The Wednesday episode will be live evictions, and will move to 8 p.m. on July 17, following the conclusion of its version of he Great British Bake Off.

Big Brother received an early renewal for the series last fall; despite a drop-off in viewers year to year, it remains a success for the network.

Since they are adding two extra weeks to this coming season, I smell a larger cast and fingers crossed, a new house! I am tired of the same floor plan every year but with new decor. They need to demolish the house and re-built a new one.

Big Brother 15: More House Guests Than Ever

Written by    Ed B.    MAY 1, 2013 in    Big Brother    with    0 Comments

With just a little over a month to go until we are all encapsulated in our summer addiction The Talk and Big Brother host Julie Chen hinted this morning that Big Brother 15 will have more house guests than ever.

“Big Brother is getting even bigger this summer, which means we need you,” Julie said. “We need more house guests than ever.”

Julie went on to remind all Big Brother addicts that we are getting a longer season, two extra weeks to be exact.  Now the question remains are we really going to see the house full with the most house-guests ever or are we going to see sixteen like we did in Big Brother seasons 9 and 14?

Julie also reminded viewers that it’s not too late to apply to become one of the Season 15 HGs.

Big Brother 15 is scheduled to premiere June 26. That’s just over a month away!  Have you started stocking your Big Brother cave with everything you will need to make it through the summer?

I was on the CBS last week and managed to take a peak around the outside of the Big Brother house, so here are few pics to tide you over.

Just 55 days to go until the premiere!

I'm predicting 18 houseguests! 9 guys and 9 girls. Three double evictions during the season.

OK I'll take a jab at it! :lol3:

I say teams yet again and one from each team will be evicted on the first live night and then be held up in sequester

then they can have up to 20 peeps one team to be an immediate have not so that's 5 peeps in the have not room leaving 14 people to sleep in regular beds and 1 HOH

So it's 4 teams of 5 and 4 going out the door  leaving 16 peeps  4 of which will be have nots by the end of the live eviction show :iok

What about if its a house of 12 and the game continues as normal (or so they think) because the twist is that there is a second house of another 12 and each house is unaware of the other house's existence until about week 3 or 4 when to 2 houses are merged.

That would be a great twist!  Think how much it would screw up everyones game

It would certainly go with the construction Ugot's friend heard passing by the house.
Well then I wasn't far off the mark with my 2 houses twist.

Will we be getting the Showtime After Dark feed this year? It's about the only way I have time to even watch anything live feedish, or is everything headed to CBS.com?

According to a poster on twitter who correctly announced the twist from last year (coaches) he believes this season will take a page out of Survivor 27. It will likely be houseguests against their families.

That's a bummer. I was looking forward to Survivor with this twist. If BB's doing this same thing, I might cry.
I thought that when we fought, I was to blame
Now I know you play a different game
I've seen you dance with danger; still wanting more

I genuinely hope not. :( Why would CBS use the same twist in consecutive reality shows? Heck, the past few years, the Big Brother finale and Survivor premiere have been on the same night!

And now that Survivor has announced their "family" twist with blood vs water, do we still think BB will be having a family twist too?
