Rank the Finish Lines
« on: November 27, 2012, 04:05:55 PM »
What are your favorite Finish lines? Not the finale and tasks itself, but the location they chose! How about your least favorite Finish lines?

Honestly, I hated TAR 12's, wasn't it like in the middle of like uh… nowhere?

And thats what makes it...amazing?
I think that this finish line was my favourite with the awesome mountain scenery just behind. Wish they could do more finish lines like this!

The worst finish lines for me are when they are located in random stadiums (TAR16 comes to mind). There needs to be some kind of nice monument or scenery around it.

Pigeon Key in TAR18! The gruelling bike ride across the bridge looked amazing and HD and the Finish Line was no difference!
TAR12 was so cool! That mountain scene was awesome! As if you didn't like it
TAR17 was great because it was such a beautiful garden, but it could also be because of the history that was made there :)
TAR2 had an amazing backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge!

Agree with both supah3ro and Flamant - I agree that the TAR18 finish was great and that Finish Lines in stadiums are awful.

For me, TAR17 comes to mind as a really great one... although idk if it is because of the actual location or because history was made there.

TAR7 is hard to forget with what happened to Uchenna & Joyce.

TAR6 comes to mind as a horrible location choice with that stupid train preventing Kris & Jon from coming back, :(
I'd rather walk alone than let them throw dirty confetti. ♥

I liked Season 4's Finish Line because it was very unique, just in the middle of the desert :).

My favorite is Season 9's finish line, I liked the snow and that it was also the starting line.

Oh, I totally forgot about Wayne Newton's house! :groan:

Best finish line for me was TAR2. Incredible scenery with the bridge and the bay, and the EPIC footrace to the finish. :hrt:

The worst finish lines to me are the numerous mansions they've used. They all start looking the same to me.

Similarly, the worst starting lines are all the parks by water.

I also dislike the mansions (with the exception of TAR17's of course).

Season 2 (footrace), 4 (desert), 5 and 7 (epic finishes) and 17 were the memorable ones for me. I sort of can't remember most of the rest.

I like Season 9's show too.. BUT, horrible winners.

The best one ever is Season 9! Red Rocks Park was amazing in the snow, and I loved that the Race ended in the same place it began.

The worst one was Season 15 - all the teams were squished up against a fence and there was no open space.

21 was SUCH a missed opportunity to have an outdoor nighttime finish.
Similarly there are SO many other places to have a finish in DC than Mt. Vernon even though it was nice - Rock Creek Park, Strathmore Mansion in Bethesda, the National Arboretum, etc

On topic: 1 (Flushing Meadows Park) and 2 (East Fort Baker) are both iconic, though I also liked 12 (Girdwood Airport) and 19 (Swan House). Also, I think 8, 10, and 13 are near identical  :lol3: :res:

Season 16, Season 19, Season 20, Season 22 without any sort of a memory challenge and the whole finale literally being one sided. Only Season 20 had Dave and Rachel sort of falling behind at one point, but it was only for about 5 minutes and then they miraculously gained their lead again and won. Those were the few bad ones that I could really remember.

Season 18 had no memory challenge but the sudden catching up by Kisha and Jen is a shocker so... it was kind of interesting. But still, boring. Season 15 had no memory challenge but the teams position changed like nobody's business and it was fun to watch. Season 13 was sort of one sided too, it was a little boring but the fact that there's a memory challenge made up for it. Season 17 was one sided too.. but again, the fact that there's kind of a cool memory challenge made up for it as well.

Post Allstars, I really liked TAR 12, TAR 14, TAR 15 and TAR 21 finale episodes. <3

Pre-allstars I like TAR 2, TAR 3, TAR 5, TAR 7 and TAR 8.

The worst of them all? I think TAR 6. Still can't believe that eating a whole pizza was actually part of a finale task. :res:
