I suspect that by the time we watch the finale, it will just be ONE of the roadblock tasks in that leg.

Now that the 11 Teams are fully identified, instead of getting bored until February 17th, let's find out what were the locations and tasks of the 11th leg in London   :cmas20  one of the world's biggest cities!  There's got to be some tweets or blogs.   :cmas5

This would have been on December 6th all day long.

I don't think this has been mentioned at all.  This weeks TV Guide is a winter preview of the next seasons shows.  For The Amazing Race it says "The 22nd season introduces a startling new twist, which will be revealed by host Phil Keoghan a the the starting line in LA."   Startling new twist?   Do we know what is?

I don't know how to take a picture of it but it is on page 32 of the Jan. 7 - 13 issue of TV Guide.

It might have been discussed already, but has anyone found anything peculiar at the Griffith Observatory other than the "do not cross signs"? I may have missed it.

Short and to the point... Well that's no fun!

I can already answer this one!    :hoot:

We have the Express Pass as an accepted  and appreciated and sought after feature of TAR.  So that's not going away.     :wise

At the end of the first leg, what would be even better than winning one?   ???

Well?  Winning two Express Passes of course!   :beer2:

But that may be just too simple.  And I have my reasons.  Let there be two EPs with the understanding that the second one has to be shared with another Team.  Simple!  Powerful!  Adds drama too.  TPTB probably got it from  one of mutlitude of  fantasy games  going on allover.  Can somebody check?  ;)

The reason I can bring this up and speculate it with high confidence comes from  the spoiler information we have on Dave & Conner.  Here's my guess:   Dave does not actually hurt his Achilles Tendon.  He claims to have sustained the injury in order to garner sympathy from the other Teams.  In particular, sympathy from the Team that wins two Express Passes on the first leg.  So the EP is handed over, the ankle magically heals   :browsie:, and Dave & Conner are launched into a very advantageous position in the game.    One which may very well carry them to the final three.   :wtg:

I like the idea,  much better than the Salvage Pass. But faking an injury is surely going too far. Getting an ankle cast, crutches and a wheelchair just to theoretically improve your chances of skipping one task? Walking with a cast is akin to GIVING yourself a handicap, let alone faking one.

Two Express Passes, that's really interesting!! :hearts:

Anyway, if your guessing is true, then they'll going to be a main target for being U-turned... :tantrum :tantrum

Maybe the twist is that there are NO express passes. That would be a twist I would love. More fast forwards, no express pass!

I suspect we'll have more raw data or an explanation from Phil or CBS before we get to the 17th of February. And I suspect we'll have a confirmed cast announcement before we are in February.

Maybe the new twist is that you can win some sort of immunity from all U-Turns. Of course, it doesn't guarantee that you can't be eliminated.

It could be also an extra of something, like an extra U-Turn to use.

I actually don't mind the idea of having a small penalty for being last to complete the first task at the starting line, but what we had in the last few seasons (instant elimination, Hazard, automatic U-Turn) do seem somewhat harsh. Maybe that team should be penalized 10% of the 1st leg's money or something.

After season 15 i think that they have learnt something, season 18 leg 1 non elimination and season 19 the samething. But then again season 19 had the awful double elimination on leg 2.

I think that they can win the Express Pass at the startline, and the Salvage Pass at the end.
